The whole life of this woman was like an adventure novel: in her youth, Marita Lorenz met Fidel Castro. She had real feelings for him, but later tried to take his life on the instructions of the CIA. However, she was familiar with another dictator who became the father of her child. Marita Lorenz testified before the Special Committee on the attempted assassination of John F. Kennedy. No wonder the tabloids called her the Jane Bond of the twentieth century.

Marita Lorenz was born in Bremen on August 18, 1939 in the family of the actress and dancer Alice Lofland (stage name June Paget) and the captain of the German merchant ship Heinrich Lorenz. After the war, the girl's mother served as an assistant and assistant to an American military officer, and soon became a professional spy. Marita often traveled with her father, now on a passenger liner operated by Heinrich Lorenz.

In February 1959, when she was not yet 20 years old, "MS Berlin" docked in Havana, and Fidel Castro boarded the liner under the control of Heinrich Lorenz, accompanied by his people. Young Marita looked with all her eyes at the tall, strong Cubans and was completely fascinated by their leader.

However, Fidel Castro also did not take his eyes off the pretty girl, and she did not dare to show her sympathy in front of her father. But before Castro left the ship, Marita managed to write on the matchbox the home phone number of her brother Joaquim, a student at Columbia University, with whom she was going to live in Manhattan.

A few days later, Fidel called Marita and said that he had sent a plane for her, which would take her back to Havana. It seems that the girl did not hesitate for a minute: after a very short time, a jeep met her at the plane in Havana, in which she arrived at the Hilton Hotel, used by Fidel Castro as his headquarters. Marita was happy and did not even think that her lover had long been known for his love for charming beauties.

A few months later, Marita realized that she was expecting a child, and began to prepare for a joyful event. But in the eighth month of pregnancy, the girl lost her baby under very strange circumstances. In the morning she drank a glass of milk, after which she instantly lost consciousness.

She woke up in the doctor's office, and she never saw the child. Until today, it has not been possible to establish the course of events at that time. There were several versions of what happened: the pregnancy was terminated deliberately on the orders of the Comandante, Marita had a miscarriage, or she gave birth to a healthy baby named Andre. None of the assumptions have ever been confirmed or disproved.

After the incident, Marita Lorenz was hastily sent to New York, because there was no one in Cuba to provide her with qualified assistance: she had a fever, her temperature rose, and it seems that blood poisoning began. Soon she was lying in a ward in Roosevelt's hospital, doctors were scurrying around her, and there were always some people in the room. As soon as Marita came to her senses, the strangers began to ask her uncomfortable questions: with whom she was, whom she saw, who and what said.

Her mind, drugged with the strongest drugs, constantly escaped, and the words that were uttered by the representatives of the CIA seemed simply unthinkable. Agents convinced her that it was Fidel who ordered the murder of her child, they talked about the threat he poses to America and the whole world. Nevertheless, she learned the main thing: Fidel is to blame for all her troubles, and now she must kill him.

Later, Marita admits that she was recruited by Frank Fiorini Sturgis specifically for the murder of Castro. She completed a special course in a closed camp, where she learned to shoot, handle explosives and use completely harmless objects for killing. She later received two capsules of poison, the contents of which were to be mixed into the Comandante's food or drink.

Arriving in Cuba in 1960, she could not harm Fidel, but admitted why she reappeared on the island of freedom. She still loved Castro. Marita left the island and in 1981 visited Cuba again, seeing Fidel for the last time.

Marcos Perez Jimenez

In March 1961, Marita Lorenz met the former Venezuelan dictator Marcos Perez Jimenez. Their meeting took place at a time when the girl was working as a courier in the international anti-communist brigade and was supposed to receive a contribution of 200 thousand dollars from Jimenez.

The former dictator courted Marita for six weeks and was eventually able to win her favor. As a result of this connection, Mrs. Lorenz gave birth to a daughter, but soon her wife was extradited to her homeland, where she was to be tried for embezzling $ 200 million during his reign.

The lawsuit for the abandonment of paternity only delayed the stay of Marita's lover in the country, but the girl, without a shadow of a doubt, went after him to Venezuela. True, in the country she was not at all friendly welcome: she was taken with her child to an indigenous tribe, where she lived for some time with her daughter, and then was able to move to the United States.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy

In 1977, Marita Lorenz made a sensational statement about the involvement of the special services in the assassination of the 35th President of the United States. Marita told Paul Mexil of The New York Daily News that she met Lee Oswald, the John F. Kennedy assassin, in the early 1960s in a closed camp, and later met him twice more: in a safe house in Miami and shortly before the tragic events in the house of Orlando Bosc in the presence of CIA agent Frank Sturgis and three Cubans. According to Lorenz, the men were planning a robbery of a weapons warehouse.

Later, Marita Lorenz repeated her testimony before the Special Committee on Assassinations of the House of Representatives, but it was found unreliable. Frank Sturgis vehemently denied his involvement in the plot to assassinate Kennedy and insisted that Marita Lorenz had been bribed by the communists to slander him. Even the details and details of the trip to Dallas, in which Marita, she said, took part, did not make the committee members believe her.

The simple life of a simple agent

In 1970, the former mistress of two dictators married a manager of an apartment building in New York and worked with her husband for the FBI. They spied on representatives of the Eastern Bloc countries at the UN, who lived in the house of Marita's husband.

From time to time she gave interviews, for which she received good royalties, later films were made about her, and Marita Lorenz herself published a book of memoirs "Marita Lorenz: The Spy Who Loved Castro … and Almost Killed Him."

On August 31, 2019, at the age of 80, Marita Lorenz passed away in Oberhausen, Germany, taking with her all the secrets and possibly embarrassing truth about the assassination of the 35th President of the United States.

Much has been written about the revolutionary and political achievements of Fidel Castro, but the Cuban leader preferred to remain silent about his personal life. At that time, there were legends among the people about his love of love: they said that he had at least 35 thousand women.
