The creative destiny of an amazing Australian artist John McCartin confirms once again that it's never too late to start life from scratch. Even as a child, knowing about his gift for fine art, John began to develop it at the age when he was well over twenty. And at the height of fame, the painter was only after fifty.
John McCartin (born 1954) is a contemporary Australian artist. His family noticed the boy's natural gift for drawing as a child. But somehow it didn't work out with the development of extraordinary abilities. And only years later, when John consciously came to understand what painting meant to him, he independently began to comprehend the basics of mastery. Without any special training, step by step the self-taught artist began to learn the world of art, analyzing the works of the great masters of the past centuries and today, as well as in his own practice. Years of long search for a niche in creative diversity have passed. John, drawing his inspiration from the world of the surrounding nature, did not strive for anything super-modern and pretentious, but simply painted what he saw around him.
And having found his own unique style, he burst into the world of art quite recently, in the early 2000s, and immediately took a worthy step, becoming the best among the best contemporary masters. Exhibitions of his works in famous galleries around the world and high awards at international competitions are proof of this.
Now John has a unique ability to masterfully work in various painting genres. His landscapes, still lifes, portraits, seascapes, flowers, animals - all this is literally saturated with warmth, light, the illusion of deep space and air haze playing in the sun.
All of his characters, objects and landscapes are incredibly positive and vibrant. This brightness is not flashy, but very picturesque, light, kind, amazing. It should be noted that John has good compositional flair and excellent drawing skills. Despite the simplicity of the depicted images, objects, environment, his works are incredibly tangible and realistic. Light tonality is the hallmark of his work. She is what distinguishes John's paintings from other artists, and makes his paintings true and airy.
