The love story of Nona Mordyukova and Vyacheslav Tikhonov - people of fantastic talent, so powerful that it is difficult to find another word like a lump in relation to their gift - was dramatic. According to Nona Viktorovna herself, their student love with Tikhonov was premature, immature … And he, as a real intellectual, never commented on his first marriage. Such talented and so different people together could not be happy.
A planet named Nona
The creative destiny of this woman can only be envied: nationwide recognition, many awards, more than 60 roles in films, the title of one of the best world actresses of the twentieth century. A planet is even named after her. But Nonna Mordyukova's personal life did not work out …
She was born into a large family. Her mother was the chairman of a collective farm, her father was a military man. The family was very friendly and hardworking. As a child, the girl dreamed of acting in films and even sent a letter to one actor with the question: "Where should I study for Lyubov Orlova?" He told her that after finishing school she should come to Moscow and find him. But time passed, and the girl on her own, in one breath, entered VGIK.
A trip to the cinema
Mordyukova and Tikhonov met on the set of the film "Young Guard" based on the novel by Fadeev. She was then 22 years old, he was 19. She played Ulyana Gromova, he played Volodya Osmukhina. The young, laconic handsome man did not even pay attention to his partner in the film. How Nonna, this monumental girl, a Cossack woman who “will stop a galloping horse,” managed to win the heart of the intelligent and melancholic Vyacheslav, remains a mystery.
In 1948, the film became the leader of the box office, and a year later it was awarded the Stalin Prize. But Mordyukova received her main prize in 1950: she married Tikhonov and bore him a son, Vladimir.
The stifling bond of marriage
The stormy relationship quickly burned out, and polarly different people remained around. Mordyukova said that she understood immediately that she "actively, tragically does not need such a husband." But a child had already appeared, and then divorce was not honored. And they continued to live, or rather, not to live, but to suffer - neither he wanted to go home, nor she.
And their walk-through room in a communal apartment could hardly be called a home. Money was also sorely lacking, they barely interrupted from paycheck to paycheck, And so they existed side by side for more than 10 years …
Nonna often complained to her mother: "I can't get divorced anymore!" And she answered: "Do not give up Slava, he is a very good guy, otherwise you will cuckoo all your life!" Apparently, the words of the mother made this marriage last for another three years.
Outwardly, he looked prosperous, but was ready to collapse at any moment. Colleagues of the star couple tell different versions of the reasons for the divorce. One of them is Nonna's flared up feeling for Vasily Shukshin.
Mordyukova was a passionate nature and carried away, and if she hated, then she did not hide, but loved, so with all her soul. Later she will write: "How difficult it is sometimes for us, women, when there is a husband, a son, and the memory of someone else knocks in you with a hammer …"
And here is what the director of the film "PE" Grigory Chuzhoy says: "… We are flying to Moscow - Slava Tikhonov needed a passport, clothes, etc. They were going to spend the night with Nonna Mordyukova and fly to Czechoslovakia at dawn.
Since Slava had forgotten the keys to his Moscow apartment in Gagra, we rang the doorbell, but they didn’t open it. We sat down with Slava on the steps - we are waiting, sir. Here is a neighbor: "And you call louder! Nonnochka is at home. She has guests." We call more persistently - dull! Then Slava says: "And now I certainly won't leave here all night." Do not leave him alone! We descend again on the steps, smoke … An hour later, the door opens, on the threshold - a smiling "face of Caucasian nationality."
Nonna accompanies him in a shawl draped over his bare shoulders, hugs, kisses and whispers something in his ear. But then, seeing us with Slava, turns pale. Slava silently walks into the apartment, collects things and just goes out in silence. This is how Tikhonov's marriage with Mordyukova ended. Two months after the death of Nonna's mother, the couple broke up without scandals, but with pain and resentment at each other.
Death of a son
Since childhood, Vladimir decided to follow in the footsteps of his parents. He successfully graduated from drama school, and played only goodies. In life, he was a completely different person. At the age of 18, Tikhonov Jr. became addicted to alcohol and drugs. He died before he was forty. The mother's grief overshadowed everything around: life for Mordyukova lost all meaning.
For the father, the tragic death of his son was a tragedy for the rest of his life. He blamed himself for the death of Vladimir, and left his country house only to go to the Kuntsevo cemetery. Probably, the divorce of the parents affected the boy's psyche, because it happened when he was in the sixth grade. For a thirteen-year-old teenager, the separation of his parents turned into a drama; he sought solace in courtyard companies. But I found trouble …
Forgiveness
For many years, Mordyukova stated that she had no reason to communicate with her ex-husband, and sarcastically called him "this Stirlitz." But one day she called him and said: "Forgive me. You were and are the most dear person in my life." He also asked her for forgiveness on television all over the country.
