Yuri and Sima very quickly began to live together. Olesha called Seraphima his friend, and there was no greater joy for him than waking up to hear her joyful laughter.
Soon, the lovers followed Kataev to Kharkov. Need forced two well-known literary men to earn their living by writing congratulations and toasts. At the same time, there was barely enough money for bread and cigarettes.
Among the Kharkov friends of the writers appeared the accountant Mac, who had a lot of ration cards and did not know any need. The accountant liked Sima, and the writers developed a whole plan, according to which Sima was supposed to show Mac signs of attention, and he would feed them. He fed them, but after a few days Sima was already Mac's wife.
Yuri Olesha was confused: he did not expect such a betrayal from his beloved. Kataev's faithful friend came to the rescue. He decisively went to Mack and brought Sim back home, to Klyuchik, as he called Olesha.
And Yuri forgave his friend. She hung on his neck and chirped happily, how she missed him, how glad she was to see him. They again wandered through the streets, now Kharkiv, kissed and believed that all the troubles were behind them.
But only a few months have passed, and Serafima Suok has already become the wife of the poet Vladimir Narbut and left with him to Moscow. Olesha again tried to return his beloved. And even returned. Narbut came to their apartment, promising to shoot himself immediately if his wife did not leave with him. Yuri Karlovich personally sent Dearie to her husband. Now really forever.
Yuri and Olga
Olesha is learning to live without his friend. He even finds an object for falling in love: a girl in the window opposite. She reads Andersen. Olesha meets 13-year-old Valya Grunzaid. Yuri will promise her to write for her a fairy tale about a wonderful girl. And he really begins to write a fairy tale in which there is a brave Suok, and a brave Tibulus. Olesha says that she is raising a future wife for herself. But the charming Valya will marry the brother of Valentin Kataev, Evgeny Petrov.
Olesha will go to the city of her childhood. Odessa to meet him with fresh sea air, warm memories and sympathy. He went to Olga Suok, the most beautiful of the sisters. According to the memoirs of contemporaries, she was the kindest. She was married to Mikhail Rosinsky, raised a son.

Olga Suok became for Yuri Olesha a faithful friend, a saving anchor, which allowed him to hold on in this life. She will meekly endure his bouts of blues and prolonged binges, she will share with him oblivion and difficulties.
When Seraphima's husband was arrested, Olesha hoped that she would come to him, but she married Nikolai Khardzhiev, and later became the wife of Viktor Shklovsky.
Yuri Olesha spends his days at the National, taking advantage of the generosity of his interlocutors, who will pour him glass after glass, finding communication with the great writer very entertaining. Olga Gustavovna never complained. She loved her Yuri, even pronouncing his name in a special way. She was beautiful, kind and patient. And she carried her cross meekly until the last day.
