Almost all people in childhood dreamed of being like their favorite fairytale heroes. Girls - for a beautiful princess, boys - for a superhero from comics. What is there in childhood! Even as adults, people continue to admire the heroes from TV screens, secretly dreaming of being like them. But rarely does anyone admit it, unlike the artist Rachel Snider. Her favorite fairy tale from childhood was "Alice in Wonderland", and the future artist herself, more than anything else, wanted to resemble the main character of the work. Her dream came true, but already in adulthood. And the photographer Petra Storrs brought a child's fantasy to life.
Two creative personalities have created a unique collection in which Rachel Snider poses as a tea bag. What does Alice in Wonderland have to do with it? According to the idea of the project, it was this young dreamer who served as a prototype for the main character of the collection. According to Petra Storrs and Rachel Snider, no one else could so reliably get used to the role and pose so effectively in a porcelain cup, depicting either a White Rabbit or a tea bag. It is not known how Alice herself would have played this role, but Rachel Snider she clearly succeeded. All the looks, from the bunny (whose ears are made from the same tea bag), ending with the warrior with a spoon in her hand, were a success.
By the way, Alice in Wonderland inspired not only Petra Storrs and Rachel Snider. The artist Elena Kalis also used this image in her work. Only in her art project Alice in Waterland the girl is under water.
