We have all heard more than once that a child lives in every adult. This thesis is confirmed by an unusual story about a young mother, Lacy Knudson, who was seriously carried away by childish Play-Doh plasticine … Once, while playing with the child, she came to the idea that small multi-colored "patches" can be used as a mosaic. What came of it - see below!
Lacey Nadson christened her hobby "Dozayix", which literally stands for "playDOh + moSAICS + FUN" ("Plasticine + mosaic + fun"). The first picture was called "New World", which is very symbolic: with the help of plasticine, the craftswoman tried to construct an image of a parallel reality, a world of dreams and fantasies. For the picture, she needed 10, 5 kg of plasticine, from this mass the talented mother fashioned more than 10 thousand round chips no larger than a coin. Of these, Lacey Nadson lays out magnificent mosaics in the style of impressionist paintings.
The artist has to work on each mosaic for several months, because for each patch you need to find its own place on the canvas. The dimensions of her paintings are impressive, ranging from 3x4 feet to 4x8 feet. Lacey Nadson describes her extraordinary hobby in the following way: “I am inspired and excited by nature, my family and destiny are where my heart is, and art is my passion and the way to embody all this”.
