Ballerinas, like artists, sculptors or architects, are never “former”. Passion for dance remains in the heart, no matter what the artist does in the future, after finishing training. Kylli Sparre, also known under the pseudonym Sparrek, devoted many years of her life to ballet, and now she sublimates her affection for choreography into charming photo cycles. The heroines of her photographs are women, graceful, sophisticated and sensual.

Kylli Sparre does not photograph ballerinas as, for example, Dane Shitagi, Lisa Tomasetti or Vihao Pham do. Rather, she seeks to show the viewer how sophisticated the movements of women who feel in harmony with their bodies can be. Despite the fact that the talented photographer did not become an outstanding ballerina, Kylli Sparre "inherited" from the hours spent at the machine, a unique perception of the inner world of women.

Each Kylli Sparre photo is a bold experiment that merges reality and imagination of the author. This is how images are born that are close to nature and the surrounding world. Despite the fact that photography is a static form of art, frozen frames are filled with life and energy.
