All the most fascinating stories usually begin with the words "one day", "once" or "one day." This is how the curious story began. Kees Straver, a medical laboratory assistant by profession and an amateur photographer at heart. One fine day, he was absentmindedly twirling a crystal ball in his hands, which usually lay on his table, and suddenly thought, why not use this very ball in his photographs? He did not hesitate for a long time - and this is how the original art project called " Crystal ball travels". To begin with, the photographer used his" third eye "to capture pieces of his native Amsterdam in it, and taking not just pictures, but capturing the most beautiful sights loved by both tourists and locals. The Netherlands began to visit the famous lighthouse on Marken Island, huge tulip plantations, the famous Protestant Westerkerk church in Amsterdam and picturesque windmills in the fields. …
The crystal ball was lucky to visit the most different corners of the earth, as evidenced by the photographs of this art project. Wanderings took him to Laos, to Buddhist monks and gilded statues of Buddha, and to Cambodia, to the silver pagodas of Phnom Penh and the amazing ancient temple of Angkor Wat. Sharik saw the Argentine Iguazu Falls in Brazil and admired the sandy beaches and sea coasts. And Keys Straver carefully photographed everything that he happened to see through transparent crystal.
As a result, the author has got a creative selection of amazing pictures resembling postcards that delight both himself and those who have ever seen them. And since the wanderings of the crystal ball captivated the photographer seriously, he cherishes the dream of traveling around the world in order to take a fresh look at the sights and other beauties, and capture all this in the pictures. The entire series of photographs from the art project about the wanderings of the crystal ball can be seen on Kees Straver's website.
