Buenos Aires-based photographer Gabi Herbstein is a well-known personality in the world of photography. For 17 years of creativity, she managed not only to work with global brands like L'Oreal, Procter & Gamble, Garnier and Sony. Gabi Herbstein has her own distinct surreal style. Her strange photographs delight and puzzle the viewer. What is depicted on them - the happy childhood of future generations or the world after an ecological catastrophe?

Argentine Gaby Herbstein has stood the test of time. In her homeland, she already had 15 independent exhibitions in different cities, and the ideas for entertaining and strange photographs do not end there. An example of this is the futuristic pictures of children under the blue sky and - really in the desert?

The surreal pictures you see were taken for the ecological calendar. Concern about what will happen to the Earth has spilled over into a creative form. Gaby Herbstein's strange photographs depict children in a world where metal, cloth, paper have supplanted all life.

Ashes releasing white clouds, robots ready to chase a ball, trees with cages, tin animals and artificial flowers-hearts are also beautiful in their own way, and the dragon with smoke not only from the mouth, but also from the ears, is absolutely charming. But still there is something to think about, because the same smoke that industry breathes on cities is not at all sweet, especially for children. In addition, they look very lonely against this background.

This concludes the official, ideological and ecological part. But art is an art, so that there is an alternative reading. All these trees with cells and fabric flowers are reminiscent of the XXII century from the story of Alisa Selezneva. Remember in "The Mystery of the Third Planet": "mirrors - and suddenly grow." Why not grow cells too? Anyone who dreamed of an indicator animal in childhood will surely like this interpretation of funny photographs.

Of course, it is not a fact that a bird of the future sits on the mitten, which is distinguished by intelligence and ingenuity, and not just a mechanized tin dummy. But it is also not a fact that in the future life will mean the same as now (the way of existence of protein bodies). And I dare to remind that even the gatherers of rare animals in the XXII century did not immediately see through that the diamond turtle is not a living creature at all.
