When an artist has something to say to the public, he draws a picture. when a photographer has something to say, he takes photographs. With the help of these works, creators talk with the public, strive to tell them something, convey something, teach something. A graphic illustration of the artist Michael McCabe talking to the public in the literal sense of the word. Silently, really. But literally. The artist depicts on canvas portraits of famous musicians who have long become a legend, and still inspire fans with their music. And he too was inspired, and as a result created a whole series of "literal" portraits of many beloved performers. Only instead of paint strokes, he used lyrics from the songs of those he drew.
And so it happened that the artist painted not only the artist's face, but also his soul, his inner world, which the artist shared with those who loved and loves his music for many years. The lines from the songs twist, stretch, flatten and swell to take the shape of faces, clothes, accessories. Each portrait consists of songs - and with songs he speaks to us through time and space.
The series of "literal" portraits of Michael McCabe features images of Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix and other famous musicians.

Who and why wrote letters "far and wide", and Why did they violate the norms of etiquette
Such a letter looks like some kind of cipher, and indeed, it takes some effort to read it. But the sender did not pursue the goal of confusing the recipient of the correspondence. And you shouldn't blame him for untidiness: the reason why the letter was written crosswise is rather sympathetic, even if it is known that Jane Austen and Charles Darwin once resorted to this method, being perfectly aware of the fact that they are violating some rules of etiquette

Novgorod birch bark letters - letters that came after 600 years
Modern man is interested in how his ancestors lived many centuries ago: what did they think about, what was their relationship, what did they wear, what did they eat, what did they strive for? And the annals report only about wars, the construction of new temples, the death of princes, the election of bishops, solar eclipses and epidemics. And here birch bark letters come to the rescue, which historians consider the most mysterious phenomenon in Russian history
