Graffiti is commonly associated with street art, city dormitories and painted walls, but not with little girls. However, artists are creative people to break stereotypes. A vivid confirmation of this is the series of paintings "Graffiti Girls" by American Kevin Peterson.

All paintings in the series are images of little girls against the backdrop of graffiti-painted cityscapes. It seems to be nothing special, but there is something in these canvases that attracts attention and grabs the eye. The painted walls especially emphasize the innocence and naivety of children, however, the graffiti themselves, next to the beautiful creatures, acquire a new meaning and perception. The juxtaposition of innocence and dangerous street life is the main motive behind the images of Kevin Peterson.

“All my works tell about the different journeys that we make throughout our lives, - says the artist. - They are about growing up and living in our complex world. These paintings show trauma, fear, loneliness and the strength that is needed to cope with them. and to survive. Each of them contains the opposition of purity, youth and innocence to a dirty, worn out and tattered world. Support against restraint, bondage against freedom, tension against weakness - these are frequent themes of my work. My paintings deal with isolation, loneliness and longing, however, at the same time and with optimistic hope."
