Designers around the world, apparently, decided to look for an alternative to traditional fabric dresses and turned to unusual materials for the manufacture of women's wardrobe items. We have already written about paper dresses and second-hand dresses. Today we will introduce another creative designer - Robin Barcus, who created a series of dresses made from natural materials. It is probably worth making a reservation right away that it is not possible to wear such clothes. Therefore, we will not touch on the practical side of the issue, but simply admire the result of the author's boundless imagination.

“I travel a lot, studying different types of our external environment, and as a result I can use materials that I find in nature,” - says Robin of his work. So, the nature of Maine inspired the designer to create a dress from pine cones, in England there was a dress made of dandelions, in Iowa - from grass, in the Netherlands - from water lilies. By the way, to put on the latter, the model had to lie in the water.

Robin Barkus loves this art form. She enjoys using familiar, everyday things that people do not consider to belong to the world of art, in an unusual way, surprising the viewer and making him look at the world with different eyes.

Although she creates a variety of dress models, Robin herself does not consider herself a designer: "I live in the world of art rather than fashion." Clothes made from natural materials are not the only and not the newest idea of the author. She also designed dresses from deflated beach balls or casino chips.
