One day, Chicago-based photographer Bill Sosin decided to take some pictures from his car window. At this time, a rainstorm fell, and instead of waiting out it, the author tried to photograph the city through glass covered with drops. It turned out magically and dreamily, and the rainy weather, probably, became the author's favorite.

What started by accident eventually became Bill Sosin's real passion. Now the author has hundreds of "rainy" works, but he continues to shoot, unable to stop in front of the beauty of the city in bad weather. It only seems that the pictures taken through wet glass do not differ in variety: in fact, every rain is special. Bill says that depending on the wind blowing and the severity of the rain, the shape of the drops, their weight and direction, and therefore the final image, change. In addition, the author takes pictures at different times of the day, looking for different color solutions.

Frequent guests in Sosin's photographs are red brake lights of cars driving ahead or lonely burning shop windows. However, the author himself is more fond of considering and reflecting on the abstract silhouettes of passers-by, hurrying to hide from the rain. Depending on the camera settings, raindrops on the glass either become bright spots, like a kaleidoscope, or remain transparent, allowing you to see what is behind them.

By the way, Bill Sosin is not the only author fascinated by the beauty of the rainy city. If you liked his work, then, perhaps, you will also like the work of the artist. Gregory Tilkerwho also paints cityscapes through wet glass.
