Almost 60 years ago, Alexander Row's film Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka was released, where the role of the charming Oksana was played by actress Lyudmila Myznikova. It seemed that after such a successful debut, the directors had to just bombard the young actress with proposals. But she disappeared from the screens as suddenly as she appeared. How did the fate of the beautiful actress develop in the future and why did she act so little in films?
Unsuccessful singer
When Lyudmila Myznikova was just born, she screamed so loudly and with inspiration that the mother of the newborn immediately identified her as a future singer. The girl did not disappoint her expectations: she really turned out to have a very beautiful voice, as the actress herself spoke after - a lyric-coloratura soprano. During her school years, Lyudmila participated in all kinds of vocal competitions and children's concerts. And after graduation, she went to enter the conservatory in her native Kiev.
But during the audition, it suddenly turned out that the applicant had just begun a mutation in her voice, and the teachers invited Lyudmila to come in a year. Yesterday's schoolgirl did not want to lose a year, and therefore immediately submitted documents to the studio at the Ivan Frank Theater, and was enrolled.
At first, she thought to just "sit out" for a year, but unexpectedly for Lyudmila herself, she really liked it, she really got carried away, experienced the magical charm of the stage, and therefore did not even try to enter the conservatory. At the age of 16, she already took part in performances, later she began to go to auditions at various film studios.
And at one of the film studios, her fateful meeting with the great storyteller Alexander Row took place.
Evenings on a Farm Near Dikanka
Lyudmila was invited to audition for the film, which was to be filmed at the Belarusfilm studio. She was just running down the corridor when she suddenly heard behind her back: "Here is our Oksana!" At that moment, the girl did not react in any way, but soon a man approached her and offered to take part in the auditions for the film adaptation of Gogol's "The Night Before Christmas". This was Alexander Rowe. Lyudmila Myznikova gave preliminary consent, and soon she was summoned to audition in Moscow.
The call came quite quickly, inspired Lyudmila went to the capital with full confidence that audition is a pure formality. True, her ardor slightly diminished when the girl met many famous actors at the film studio. But Lyudmila tried very hard: she sang, danced, answered the lines. And she was very organic in the frame, which, in general, was what Alexander Rowe expected from her. He needed a perky black-browed girl, and in Lyudmila the director saw a complete correspondence to the image of Gogol's Oksana.
The telegram with a call to the shooting caused tears in the family of Lyudmila Myznikova. Mom cried, dad categorically refused to let her daughter go. A real Ukrainian village for nature filming was built in the Murmansk region near Kirovsk, where in May there were frosts and huge snowdrifts lay. But the girl managed to persuade her parents and left for two months to the north, and after that she continued to act in Moscow, where they filmed close-ups.
All members of the creative group treated Lyudmila like a daughter, took care of her, protected her. Yes, she herself always remembered the instructions of her parents: to behave decently and strictly. With the performer of the role of Vakula, Yuri Tavrov, the actress developed exclusively business relations, and communication was limited only to the set. Despite about the same age, young people were very different.
Alexander Rowe instructed the young actress, advising her not to agree to all roles in a row, to be very selective about working in the cinema. In general, the work in the film "Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka" taught Lyudmila Myznikova a lot. She received tremendous experience and saw with what trepidation and respect Georgy Millyar, Lyudmila Khityaeva, Sergey Martinson and other successful actors refer to their profession.
But, having agreed to shoot, Lyudmila Myznikova lost her job at the Franko Theater. The fact is that she left for Rowe just at the moment when the decision was made to leave the studio graduate in the theater or not. In fact, she herself decided her fate, leaving Kiev for almost a year. And after the return, everything turned out by no means as rosy as the actress imagined.
The fate of the actress
It seemed to Lyudmila Myznikova: she would return from filming and all the doors would open before her. After all, directors and viewers could see how talented she is. As the actress herself says, she was supposed to go to the Kiev Theater of Russian Drama, but decided in favor of the Theater of the Young Spectator, because it was from there that the invitation came.
Alexander Rowe subsequently invited the actress for the lead role in the film "Barbarian Beauty, Long Braid", but at that time she was already expecting the birth of a child, and therefore had to refuse. Looking at Tatyana Klyueva, who played Varvara in the fairy tale, you can see how much she resembles Lyudmila Myznikova. However, by that time the actress had already changed her name and became Belinskaya.
Before that, in 1962, she still managed to star in the short film by Nikolai Ekka "When it Snows". In fact, it was a congratulation concert with the participation of the first cosmonauts of the USSR, including Yuri Gagarin and German Titov, and Lyudmila Myznikova played the Snow Maiden in it. At the same time, they had to play in French, since the concert was supposed to be shown in France, but it did not go on Soviet screens.
In fact, Lyudmila Myznikova rejected many offers to work in films. She remembered Alexander Rowe's instructions and waited patiently. But, in fact, her love affair with cinema did not work out. But the girl decided to get a philological education and entered the Kiev University in the evening department. And at one of the New Year's student parties she met the sound engineer Oleg Belinsky, whom she soon married.
Then the son of the spouses Igor was born, there were many worries associated with the family. In 1970, Lyudmila Myznikova starred in Lev Mirsky's film “Two Days of Miracles”, in 1984 - in a small episode in Andrei Benckendorff’s film “Good Intentions”, and then disappeared from the screens for many years.
She worked as the head of a department at the Theater Museum of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, and her husband at that time held an important post at the Ukraine Palace of Culture. Later, the couple together headed the children's folklore ensemble "Oriyana", the first in Ukraine, and then decided to create their own Christian theater "Mystery" at the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Kiev.
In the mid-2000s, the actress began to appear on the screens again, although these roles were small. She starred in several episodes of the series "The Return of Mukhtar" and in the film "Dear Children".
Perhaps she did not have enough determination and character to achieve great heights, but she had enough wisdom and love to create a strong family. She and her husband raised a wonderful son, and now her grandson Stanislav-August is a joy for the actress. Despite the fact that the actress has not acted in many films, she considers herself a happy person.
