When it is time for people in the East to go to bed, the West just wakes up, washes up and takes up their morning coffee. Traditions and holidays, rules, orders, demeanor in society - we are so different, but words cannot convey even half of all this. But since we have to live side-by-side with each other, there is nothing left but to get used to, get used to it and adapt. How it all looks from the outside is clearly demonstrated by the collection of creative tableware Hybrid Collectiondesigned by art studio CTRLZAK and manufactured by an Italian company Seletti … The Hybrid Collection dishes can be called "at the crossroads of East and West", and why this is so, it is easy to guess, having carefully examined each strange object of the collection. The concept of this art project is to make one of two different plates and cups decorated with oriental and western ornaments, and thereby demonstrate that despite our differences and disagreements, we can still be halves of one whole. Even if this whole looks, to put it mildly, unusual.
Creative cups and plates that combine and contrast the West and the East at the same time are not intended to serve as a table setting or garnish. Only those who have tender feelings for extravagant, extraordinary and unlike anything else can appreciate the collection of art tableware.
The authors of the project are very politically correct: the "western" and "eastern" halves are equal. And size is the only thing in which they are similar. An exhibition of unusual tableware Hybrid Collection will be held in London's HOME gallery in January next year.

What is the secret of the art of the Ottoman Empire: When East meets West
Every time when it comes to the Ottoman Empire, images and fantasies about a power inhabited by great sultans, filled with exotic aromas and accompanied by the sounds of a muezzin calling for Islamic prayer immediately pop up in my head. But that is not all. During its heyday, the great Ottoman Empire (circa 1299-1922) spread from Anatolia and the Caucasus through North Africa to Syria, Arabia and Iraq. It brought together many disparate parts of Islamic and Eastern Christianity
The villainous poet, the fugitive writer, the pearl actress. The fates of three famous slaves of the East, West and the New World
From the time of Ancient Egypt to the present day, millions of slaves lived and died unnamed for history. Their lives did not belong to them, their bodies did not belong to them, much less their names belonged to them, they were renamed as easily as a pleasure boat. The brighter the stories of those few who remained in the memory of mankind as something more than an object of purchase and sale, two-legged cattle, powerless property

Only two colors - blue and red - were used in his graduation project by the Spanish designer Ren é e Rossouw, while working on the Pattern Diary collection of unusual tableware. Porcelain, seashells and tentacles. Bottom Feeders collection of creative tableware
The American sculptor Mary O'Malley came up with the creative collection of Bottom Feeders porcelain tableware, which looks as if it has been on the seabed long enough and managed to become overgrown with seaweed and shells. In her hands, cups, plates, teapots and jugs seem to have been reborn, turning into real works of art, but without losing their functionality
