Every day we meet a variety of people on the way: acquaintances, strangers, bystanders, fellow travelers in the subway, elevator, bus. And at the end of the day, and even more so a week, there are so many of these meetings that all the faces eventually merge into one big crowd, where it is no longer clear who is who, and by what fate. And in this crowd it is so easy to get lost, as if in the Japanese subway at rush hour … Among people, but still alone - this feeling was tried to convey by his art project a Brazilian artist Guilherme Kramer … Despite the fact that the crowd always consists of strangers and their unfamiliar faces, no one wants to think that for all these people he is just a tiny, unnamed episode in their life. Feeling lonely in a huge crowd is not a pleasant pleasure. And the Brazilian artist Guillermo Kramer tried to overcome that very cold and slippery feeling of loneliness that each of us is exposed to by painting the walls of his office in San Paolo with the faces he sees on the street, in transport and in public places every day.

Some of the people depicted in the "crowd" on the snow-white office wall are known personally by the artist, he often meets others in everyday life, and he saw others either for the first time, or owes them rare short-term meetings in certain places of his native city. Guillermo Kramer carefully painted each face in black ink, emphasizing its peculiarity, in order to once again demonstrate that the crowd, in fact, is not a faceless gray mass - it consists of individuals, characteristic personalities, interesting, bright, attractive in their own way.

The artist painted the wall until there was not a single free white speck on it. In total, it took Guillermo Cramer about a year to complete this unusual art project, which was later named " People in the crowd", or " We see people in the crowd".
