The annual AfrikaBurn Festival … Today we will tell you about what art objects were presented on it in 2013.
As you know, the largest "fire" festival Burning Man takes place in the Black Rock Desert in the northwestern state of Nevada, USA. The concept of the African AfrikaBurn festival has many things in common with the American one. Their main principles are the same: complete freedom of expression and collective creativity.
AfrikaBurn has gathered 6,500 participants this year. Under the general theme "Archetypes", impressive installations were collected that amazed the imagination of the audience. One of the largest art objects is the 9-meter sculpture by Daniel Popper, representing a man with open arms.
Traditionally, visitors to the open-air exhibition could admire the huge sculptures that were burned at the end of the festival.
