He was incredibly talented, humble and intelligent. Rostislav Plyatt always tried to be modest and even weighed down with his own fame and popularity. He served at the Mossovet Theater for almost half a century. And almost the same fate measured out the main feeling in his life. Rostislav Plyatt had three most expensive women. But one always stood out: on the stage and in the heart of the actor, she occupied a special place.
The path to the scene
He was born in 1908 in the family of lawyer Ivan Plyata and Zinaida Zakamennaya. At the age of 16, at the time of obtaining a passport, one extra letter will be added to the father's surname, and the patronymic will acquire a slightly aristocratic touch and Rostislav Ivanovich Plyat will become Rostislav Yanovich Plyatt.
He was born in Rostov-on-Don, but soon after the birth of his son, the father moved the family to Kislovodsk, hoping that the health of his wife Zinaida Ivanovna would recover there. However, the mother of the future actor died when her son was barely 8 years old.
After Ivan Iosifovich and his son moved to Moscow and soon married Anna Nikolaevna Volikovskaya. The boy very quickly established quite friendly relations with his stepmother, Rostislav began to call Anna Nikolaevna mother. The son of Ivan Iosifovich's second wife was only two years older than Rostislav, but she never shared children. Rostislav Yanovich later recalled that he never felt like an orphan. Sometimes it even seemed to him: Anna Nikolaevna loves him much more.
The future actor studied at the Ninth School of MONO them. Thomas Edison, which had an absolutely stunning auditorium with a large stage. Even the students from the Moscow Art Theater played their performances here. Naturally, the drama circle at the school formed quite decent, and Rostislav Plyatt became its regular.
At the age of 15, he was awarded the role of a seventy-year-old general in the vaudeville Engagement in Galley Harbor, which was staged by the Moscow Art Theater actor Vladimir Fedorovich Lebedev. Before the start of the dress rehearsal, Rostislav Plyatt stood in amazement in front of the mirror. He was not like himself and at the same time it was himself. The theater poisoning came instantly. Now the young man saw himself in the future only as an actor. His name was supposed to decorate the posters.
Only now the surname seemed to him too short, and the patronymic too simple. Then, when filling out the documents for obtaining a passport, the boy slightly changed his data, at that time it was very simple, it was only necessary to indicate when filling out the documents what you want to see then in the passport. The middle name, by the way, was formed from the family nickname of his father, whom everyone called Yan. Soon he received the coveted document addressed to Rostislav Yanovich Plyatt.
After leaving school, Rostislav Yanovich went to audition at the Moscow Art Theater and already saw himself as a member of the troupe, but he was refused. But the director of the Moscow Art Theater Elizaveta Sergeevna Telesheva was imbued with participation in the fate of the failed actor and introduced the young man to Yuri Zavadsky.
Vera Maretskaya
Rostislav Plyatt met Vera Maretskaya when she was already the wife of Yuri Zavadsky. She was recklessly in love with her husband and did not seem to notice anyone around. Nevertheless, almost everyone knew about Rostislav Plyatt's love for Vera Maretskaya. When they appeared together on stage or in the frame, playing lovers, no one could reproach the actors for an unreliable performance.
Vera Maretskaya, despite her love for Zavadsky, very often suffered from jealousy and endless betrayal of her husband. She seemed to blossom under the loving gaze of Plyatt, but she did not even think about leaving her husband. Rostislav Yanovich loved and suffered at the same time. But when he realized that this novel would not have a happy ending, he married another.

Nina Butova
Nina Butova also served in the Mossovet Theater; of course, she knew about Rostislav Plyatt's hobby. But at the same time she believed: if he had already offered her a hand and a heart, then he might well forget about the existence of Maretskaya.
Nina Vladimirovna was not at all going to devote herself to household chores, but with charming spontaneity she could buy a guitar instead of food for dinner or bring another kitten or puppy into the house, which had to be urgently rescued.
Rostislav Yanovich did not complain about life, replaced homemade dinners with sandwiches from the theater buffet and felt almost happy at the same time. For complete happiness, he still lacked his beloved woman next to him. As soon as Nina Vladimirovna felt that Plyatt was again yearning for her failed love, she could well make a scandal with the threat of committing suicide if Plyatt decided to go to Maretskaya.
But he made up his mind only once. When Vera Maretskaya had been divorced from Zavadsky for a long time, and her second husband died at the front, Rostislav Yanovich offered his beloved hand and heart. However, she rejected him, deciding that she did not want to change anything in her life.
They left in one year, Nina Butova and Vera Maretskaya. And Rostislav Plyatt was left all alone.
Lyudmila Maratova
Ironically, Lyudmila Maratova was the wife of Nikolai Litvinov, a friend of the actor. It was to her that Rostislav Yanovich drew attention, being left alone. It seemed even more surprising to him that this woman, who was 20 years younger than Plyatt, turned her attention to him.
Neither Rostislav Plyatt nor Lyudmila Maratova ever gave interviews about how their feelings arose. They just very anxiously guarded their lives from public attention.
According to friends and acquaintances of this couple, Rostislav Plyatt was absolutely happy in the last years of his life. Lyudmila became the source of this happiness for him. For the sake of her husband, she left her job and surrounded her loved one with her care and attention. Fate gave them 11 years of happiness.
The great actor and amazing person passed away in the summer of 1989.
Vera Maretskaya was the main woman in the fate of the wonderful actor Rostislav Plyatt for many years. Cheerful, cheerful, funny - that was exactly what Vera Maretskaya was in the eyes of the audience and colleagues. In the theater, she was called the Mistress. And few people knew how many trials fell to her lot, how tragic the fate of her family was, how difficult her own life was. The favorite of the public and the authorities, the prima of the Mossovet Theater, the star of the screen, and the woman who never managed to build her personal happiness.
