they say that soon algorithms will take away the monotonous work from people - programs will keep accounting, drive cars, stamp parts in factories. But creative specialists - artists, writers, musicians - have nothing to fear, according to the same forecasts. But today neural networks write new texts, music, pictures. Some projects are presented as post-documentary, where the author plays with new technologies in his project, in other ideas - a neural network can help the creator. And there are pictures generated by algorithms that are already being sold for money.

Composer Alexander Chernakov in the Metametrica Pop program on the Metametrica YouTube channel assessed the ability of a neural network to write music. According to him, a computer can help in this process, but never put a soul into a work.

“To compose music is to combine notes, breathe the soul into them, and this cannot be done by a computer. He can help us, perform some operations, but he will never be able to compose real music,”the author said.

According to Chernakov, there are many composers in Russia, and graduates graduate from the conservatories every year.

He noted that a performance in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory is an achievement for a classical musician. “Or listen to your own opera at the Bolshoi Theater, see the production,” added Chernakov.

It should be said that the neural network has touched not only music, but also other areas of art. In April 2016, a development team sponsored by Microsoft and the Dutch bank ING showed the public the project "The Next Rembrandt" under the slogan "347 years after Rembrandt's death, his next picture is presented."

Using neural networks, the developers identified the parameters that made him a unique creator, ranging from the choice of the theme of the work to the exact proportions of typical Rembrandt paintings. The prevailing model was obtained, which was "a man of 30–40 years old in a black dress with a white collar, his face turned to the right." This set of parameters was used to create an original portrait made in the artist's style.
