In 2020, in the Patriot Park, which is located in the Moscow region, it is planned to open the Central Museum of the Military Space Forces. Already now there is an opportunity to see exactly how this museum will look by watching videos on the official pages of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in social networks.
It will not be just a museum, but a whole museum complex dedicated to aviation technology. It will receive the title of the largest such complex in the world and will surpass even the Museum of Aviation and Astronautics, which currently exists in Le Bourget. Dozens of aircraft will be exhibited in this museum. Visitors here will be able to see helicopters and aircraft that are used and were previously used by the army of the Russian Federation. The exposition will include helicopters and aircraft of the Soviet and imperial period. There will be a place here for aircraft currently in use, as well as prototypes that have not been introduced into mass production.
The Russian Defense Ministry says that the museum will become a place for storing and popularizing aviation technical knowledge, as well as an important part of the nationwide education of citizens. For the main building, they decided to choose the shape of an airplane. An observation deck will be arranged at the top of this structure, which will be an excellent place to observe various events, for example, reconstructions of past military battles or an air show.
A workshop will work on the basis of the museum complex. When designing the future museum in the Patriot park, it was decided not to be limited only to covered buildings. It is also planned to arrange open storage facilities on its territory. Aircraft platforms will be arranged between the museum buildings. There will also be a place here for the construction of two helipads. The ministry plans to invite relevant experts to assess the aviation exhibits, as well as to conduct technical expertise.
The new museum complex is planned to be filled with modern touch panels and multimedia kiosks. Museum visitors will be able to try themselves in the role of a pilot, for which they will need to visit the zone of interactive simulations. For the entertainment of visitors, it is also planned to arrange an aviation shooting range, in which it will be possible to compete in accuracy. Thanks to special training programs, everyone will be able to try themselves in the role of a military pilot.
