For the Japanese, Versailles is one of the symbols of the Western World, its elegance, sophistication and artistic taste. Therefore, all Japan is very proud that Versailles will host an exhibition of one of the most famous contemporary Japanese artists - Takashi Murakami.
Twenty-two works by the Japanese will be exhibited in the halls of Versailles, eleven of which were created specifically for this exhibition. These works, according to Takashi Murakami himself, will match the boorish - refined, sophisticated, elegant. Moreover, each work will correspond in style to the Versailles room, in which it will be exhibited.
And each of these sculptures will be a combination of European and Japanese motifs. Takashi Murakami's exhibition in Versailles will take place from September 14 to December 13 this year.
