"Black Square" brought Kazimir Malevich worldwide fame, becoming one of the symbols of avant-garde art. How fate will turn out photocycle "Square" korean artist Seokmin ko, time will tell, but for now we can enjoy the wonderful works in which the author, with the help of a giant mirror, "dissolves" in the environment.
The recognized master of "disguise" is the Chinese photographer Liu Bolin, about whom we have repeatedly talked about on the site Culturology. Ru. It seems that now he has a serious competitor. The Korean Seokmin Ko is no easier to find than his colleague from China. The only clue is the fingertips with which the photographer Seokmin Ko is holding the mirror.
The photographer explains that the mirror is an allegory of modern society, in which people try to crush each other's individuality, condemning originality, sincerity, and dissimilarity. Seokmin Ko commented on his project: “We live by closing ourselves off from each other. Foundations, customs, traditions - all this "standardizes" a person, society educates people who are deprived of their own "I". To become a “normal” person, we begin to change, and this is the main tragedy."
Seokmin Ko's "Squares" will be on display at the Shinsegae Gallery in Gwangju, South Korea, opening on September 25, 2013.

Ilya Oleinikov and Denis Klyaver: Why did the son hide his relationship with his father and abandoned his surname
The children of famous parents use the chances given to them by fate in different ways: someone is proud of his loud surname and does not hide the fact that it helps to build a successful career, and someone does not advertise kinship in order to avoid comparisons and achieve success on their own. The son of the famous artist Ilya Oleinikov bore a different surname, and only after he left he told about their difficult relationship and why for many years no one knew who his father was
Silhouette Mirrors - mirrors with character
I suppose everyone remembers the funny children's cartoon "Beware, monkeys"? However, it doesn’t matter if you don’t remember - at the end of the article you will find a small bonus. There they also sing a funny song about how "every little child has 200 grams of explosives, or even a pound", why "he must run and jump, grab everything, jerk his legs, otherwise he will explode, bang-bang, - and he is not here!" The childish fidgety character is also reflected in the Silhouette Mirrors, a new product
Nature plays hide and seek: Loughareema, or the Vanishing Lake, in Ireland
We all know that it is better to admire mountain rivers in spring, when they become seething and full-flowing from melting snow, but in summer many of them are more like drying up streams. It turns out that in the absence of rain, not only rivers but also lakes can disappear. If you are lucky enough to travel to the Irish city of Balicastle after the showers have passed here, then, before reaching a few kilometers, you will see the picturesque Lake Loughareema. However, remember that its second name is Disappearing Lake
Hide and Seek: Creative Photography by Gloria Marigot
As you know, you can always hide from the all-seeing photo: put on a mask, hide behind whatever comes to hand, in the end, arm yourself with a photographic gun. Gloria Marigot's creative photographs tell the story of people who are tired of attention to their modest person. Since a person is so imperfect that he cannot bury his head in the sand, you can at least save the audience from contemplating his face by offering something nice in return
