Another such design experiment was the Space Invaders-style Coca-Cola cans, designed by designer and artist Erin McGuire. Erin is known for her unusual painting technique. She paints in a pixelated style, creating pixelated images on walls, fences and other vertical and horizontal planes throughout Europe and America (she herself lives in Paris). So she was invited by the Coca-Cola Company to create the design of cans in the style of Space Invaders.
Erin McGuire designed the Coca-Cola Space Invader Edition for three different types of Coca-Cola soda. Classic red for Coca-Cola Classic, black for Coca-Cola Zero and gray for Diet Coke. They all look very unusual, extraordinary and recognizable. And on all of them there are Space Invaders, so beloved by us for more than thirty years.
