The paintings of this artist are simply striking in their uniqueness. It seems that this was not without Photoshop, but in those days when this artist created his best work, even computers were weak. It's just a matter of your own technique Eyvind earlearguably the most interesting artist to have worked on Disney cartoons since the 1950s.
Eyvind Earle has not been with us for 10 years, so it can rightfully be considered a modern classic. His biography is very interesting. He was born in New York in 1916 and began his career as an artist at the age of 10. It was at this age that his father challenged him: either young Eyvind reads 50 pages of books every day, or draws a picture every day. The boy coped with both at the same time. The first small exhibition of the young artist took place 4 years later.
At the age of 21, Eyvind Earle cycled from Hollywood to New York, painting 42 watercolors along the way. Already at this age, carried away by the works of Van Gogh, Cézanne and other famous artists, Earle forms his own style, which is often described as simple, direct and confident.
In 1951, the artist joined Walt Disney Studios, where he began to paint backgrounds and backgrounds for cartoons. Disney became interested in Eyvind when he drew the background for the Oscar-winning cartoon "Buzz, Whistle, Ring and Boom," in 1951. Over the next 10 years of work, the master had more than enough - he painted backgrounds in the form of mysterious forests and other mysterious places for tons of cartoons - from Peter Pan to Lady and the Tramp. One of his greatest creations is considered to be his work on the background, selection of colors and stylistics of the well-known masterpiece of the Disney studio "Beauty and the Beast".
Mysterious places Eyvind Earle's paintings are associated with cartoons and fairy tales. Fairy tales have always been a favorite theme for floating artists trying to create more (and some, on the contrary, less) perfect reality - from Nicoletta Ceciolli and her troubling princesses to the most sought-after fantasy artist in the world, Michael Valen.
He also made cartoons for television and designs for Christmas cards, of which there are more than 800 in his life. In 1966, after a long work at Disney, he returned to his own paintings. In 1974, in addition to drawing watercolors, sculptures and painting, he began work on the so-called serigraphs. Eyvind Earle is renowned for his understanding of the landscape. The mysterious places from his paintings are, on the one hand, simplicity, even primitivism, and on the other, mystery and some kind of elusive beauty.
Eyvind Earle died in 2000 at the age of 84. It makes no sense to say that the art world has lost a lot in his person. On the Internet, information about Eyvind Earle and his extraordinary paintings is teeming with many sites, but it's better to start with the official one.
