The painting "Savior of the World", which not so long ago received the status of the most expensive, will be shown very soon in Abu Dhabi, where it is now heading.

The branch of the French Louvre in Abu Dhabi announced a few days ago an exhibition in November, which will present all one single painting, which, by the way, is the most expensive to date. It is about Leonardo da Vinci's painting "Savior of the World", which is currently on its way to Abu Dhabi. Representatives of the previously mentioned Louvre announced this at the official level.

It is worth immediately recalling that in the middle of last month, the legendary painting by Leonardo was sold in New York at one of the largest auctions. The canvas of the Renaissance genius went under the hammer for a record $ 400 million. Taking into account the taxes in force in the United States, the painting cost its new owner $ 450,312,500.

On a canvas measuring 64.5x44.7 centimeters, Christ is painted in a sky-blue robe, blessing the viewer with his right hand. In the left hand of the messiah lies a transparent ball. At the beginning of the auction, this picture was estimated at only $ 100 million. Experts believe that it was possible to achieve such an inflation of the price tag during the auction, including thanks to a successfully conducted advertising campaign.

Immediately after the sale, messages began to appear in the media with the guesses of individual journalists and experts that the painting "The Savior of the World" could be a fake. Specialists in the field of Renaissance works are mainly alarmed by the ambiguous and intermittent history of the canvas, as well as the presence of a large number of optical errors not typical for Leonardo's works.
