You can really feel the arrival of spring only when white flowers bloom on fruit trees under the warming sun. Intoxicating scent of cherry blossom, spherical apricot crowns pleasing to the eye … The spring awakening of nature inspired Korean artist Choi Jeong Hwa to create a unique wood, whose branches are strewn with flowers. Roses, violets, orchids - the variety of shapes and colors in this unusual "bouquet" looks great.

The love of bright colors is a hallmark of Choi Jong Hwa's art. We have already introduced our readers to his installations created from multi-colored plastic. The author's new creation - a giant flower tree - is also made of this material. It is noteworthy that the interest in creating life-size artificial trees in art does not fade away (not so long ago we talked about the steel sculptures of Ben-David Zadok).

Choi Jong Hwa created the first flower tree in 2004, since then such floristic delights have adorned Shanghai, Singapore and Lyon (France). Flowers in the artist's work symbolize, of course, the unfading beauty of nature, and the fact that they are made of plastic should emphasize the contrast between artificial and natural beauty. Urbanization leads to the fact that nature is destroyed by man, flowering trees are designed to remind people that the real beauty of the surrounding world is much more beautiful than any man-made miracle.
