Artist and designer Andy Gilmore seems to captivate many with his vibrant, almost tangible geometric compositions. He is called the master of color, and his works are compared to patterns in a kaleidoscope.
If geometry were taught at school, referring to the work of Andy Gilmour, children would almost certainly adore this subject. Triangles, polygons and spirals: intricate interweaving and color transitions - Gilmore creates truly hypnotic images.
The artist managed to combine graphic design, illustration and … music in his work - it is not without reason that he is called a sound visualizer. In addition to his undeniable gift as a draftsman, Andy is also an excellent musician. And this is not surprising: a talented person is talented in everything.
Gilmore did not come to art right away, having managed to work in a bookstore, in a theater and even in a bakery. True, as the artist himself notes, in terms of professional development, these episodes of his biography gave him almost more than the subsequently received Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SUNY Empire State College.
He was born in the United States in 1974. Already in early childhood, he showed an interest in drawing. By the way, many of his childhood memories are connected with drawing. The artist is happy to tell how, as a child, he watched how his father painted. Little Andy was amazed at the time how ordinary lines drawn on paper turned into images of people and animals.
Today Gilmore is a successful artist. He lives and works in Rochester, New York. His extensive client list includes big names like Wired Magazine, New York Times, Fast Company and many more. Of course, the list is growing, and the artist continues to look for new ways of self-expression.

Geometry around us: laconic street art from an Italian artist
The work of the street artist known as "108" is as simple and mysterious as his pseudonym. Knightly armor of the 16th century as a work of art: the work of a virtuoso gunsmith
Medieval knightly armor can be seen today in various museums around the world, but history has practically not brought the names of the masters of arms business to this day.
