Beautiful, high-quality advertising is an art in itself. But if it is also made in the form of a painting, sculpture or installation, few people pay attention to the advertised product - everyone stares at the advertisement. This is probably what happened with the new advertising campaign of the Japanese design studio Nendo.
With a very original installation, Chair Garden, the company presented in Milan a new design for chairs with thin, long and sturdy legs. Why do chairs need such thin and unnaturally elongated legs? Judging by the advertising installation, these have grown …
The chairs themselves are wooden, and the thin legs are metal for stability, and covered with a wooden casing. But these are details, which, however, allowed the author of the project in a playful manner to think about what could grow if a pair of such unusual chairs were planted in fertile soil. Maybe stools, or maybe tables, chairs, or chairs with even longer legs?
For reference, the legs of these unusual "growing" chairs are only 12mm in diameter, and for more information, visit the Nendo website.
