Designers from the creative association "Eboach" Yon Ju Lee (Yon Ju Lee) and Brian Brush (Brian Brush) co-authored an amusing installation. Driven by the question of human perception of the architectural environment, which has become an integral part of the usual landscape of the townspeople, young people created an intricate structure of four hundred wooden chairs in the open air.
It is interesting to observe how such a basic element of the furnishings of any home becomes the main structural component of a large-scale installation. A product of industrial design, an element of furniture, an indispensable attribute of a hospitable home - a chair is necessary because it is utilitarian.
The designers from Eboach decided to make a fetish, an architectural event, an installation out of a chair, turning the ossified perception of this object upside down, and finally bringing the chair to the forefront of art. The design no longer reads like "seating congestion." It acquired a new, independent, non-utilitarian meaning.
The installation is a fragment of a sinusoid that rises several meters from the ground. The chairs are securely fastened together with the help of solid bolts, clamps and screws, hidden from the viewer's eyes, which, in many ways, creates a feeling of unreality of what is happening.
Designers from Eboach would surely appreciate the work of the Parisian Pablo Reinoso, a true connoisseur of good furniture. The future designer created his first chair at the age of six. Over the years, the passion has not faded away. Reinoso made a fetish out of this piece of furniture, an object to be collected and reproduced in the most outlandish ways.
