In India, people live poorly, but brightly and cheerfully, as evidenced by the colorful Holi festival, the holiday of spring, about which we have already written on Culturology. Ru. London art duo known for their passion for bright colors, performances and installations by their wife Rob and Nick Carter, took on board the Indian idea with multi-colored powder, and brought to life their own art project Paint Pigment Photographs, just as cheerful, bright and positive. Throughout the existence of the art duo, the couple have built their creativity on three "whales": light, color and form. The constant study of these three mysterious elements has led to the creation of a huge number of bright, unusual works using a wide range of materials, from neon lights to powder paints. A huge amount of these very paints were needed by artists for their latest art project called Paint Pigment Photographs.
Color therapy, colorful explosions in the blue sky, children's entertainment for adults - no matter how you call this work, you can't look at it without a smile. The authors of the project sprayed industrial powder paint high in the sky, and then photographed those multi-colored clouds that shone in the rays of the sun against the background of a blue sky and white clouds. The spectacle is magnificent, it is a pity that the photographs reflect only a small fraction of the enchanting beauty that could be observed while working on the project. According to Nikki Carter, their main problem was the wind, which prevented the clouds of powder pigments from taking their natural form and made the work of the photographer much more difficult. Although, thanks to the movement of the air, they managed to capture some very unusual colored figures high in the sky.
Each colorful explosion lasted for a fraction of a second, and capturing those fleeting moments was, to put it mildly, not easy. But the results were amazing, and the work from the Paint Pigment Photographs art project created a real stir among fans of the work of Rob and Nikki Carter. By the way, among them are such celebrities as Elton John, Jude Law and Kevin Spacey. You can get your dose of color therapy on the website of the married art duo.
