His career was very successful from the very beginning, but real fame came to Sean Connery after playing the role of James Bond. He starred in seven episodes of Bond, and after many years tried to get rid of the obsessive image of agent 007. Women sought his attention and the actor became famous as a womanizer and heartthrob. He actually was, until he met the one who became the fate and real happiness of the best James Bond.

From milkman to actor

He was born and raised in Edinburgh, in an area called Fountainbridge. The future actor's mother worked as a cleaner, and his father was a simple worker. The family was very poor, so Sean, like his younger brother Neil, was used to counting every penny from early childhood. At an early age, Sean was already helping the family: he collected coal that fell out of the coal miners' carts, and then sold it on the market. He was 12 years old when he began delivering milk to customers, and at 13 he dropped out of school altogether, trying to provide for himself in the slightest degree and help his parents.

Later, the young Sean Connery went to serve in the Navy, believing that free food, uniforms and a constant salary are a good alternative to freedom. However, after only a few months, Sean was discharged due to severe stomach pains, which arose, according to the ship's doctor, due to severe stress resulting from a change in environment and routine.

Subsequently, Sean Connery took on any job, only so as not to return again to hopeless and hopeless poverty. He worked as a coal miner and road worker, was a steelmaker and coffin polisher. Having stumbled upon an advertisement in a newspaper for a job in the theater, he became a stage worker and even played the role of a security guard in one of the performances of the Edinburgh Royal Theater. At the same time, he became interested in bodybuilding and even took part in the Mr. Universe competition, finishing third in his category.

In parallel, he began to pose at an art school and work as a security guard in the pool. And yet, having learned about the auditions for the play "South Park", Connery decided to take a chance and went for an interview. He nevertheless became an actor, although in the theater he was treated like an upstart, and even ridiculed for his bright Scottish accent. But Connery made a firm decision not to give up.

The actor spent all his free time in the library, reading the classics book after book, and even recording himself on a dictaphone, thus trying to get rid of the accent. In 1954, he first appeared in films, in 1958 he already played his first major role, and in 1962 the first episode of Bond was released. They began to recognize him on the streets, fans were ready to give everything for just one look of the actor, and women literally went crazy over him.

Life until happiness

Sean Connery never hid the fact that he had many women, however, he was never proud of his victories. He actually fell in love with his girlfriends and co-stars, but he married for the first time only at 32 to actress Diane Cilento.

They had to play the wedding in secret, so as not to destroy the reputation of James Bond, a lover of women. However, family life itself turned out to be far from what he imagined. The actor was forced to publicly support the style and image of his on-screen hero, and his wife, who carefully watched all his interviews, often took offense, cried and threw tantrums to his wife. So it was that time when he once inadvertently said that a woman can be slapped in the face if she deserves it.

Upon returning home, he saw Diane in tears. At that time, they were waiting for the birth of their child, and the spouse could not help but react to Connery's rash words. She spoke hurtful words to her husband, accused and denounced. At that moment, Sean hated himself and his on-screen image.

In January 1963, their son Jason was born. The kid was seven years old when another woman appeared in his father's life. In 1973, the couple separated, and two years later, Sean Connery married a second time.

They first met at a golf tournament when Sean won the men's competition and Micheline Roquebrune won the women's. According to Micheline, she first saw Sean from the back and drew attention to his physique. Later, their eyes met and it seems that no force could hold back the avalanche of feelings that fell on them.

But the reality was much more complicated than shown in the movies: they were both married, and even lived not just in different countries, but on different continents. The French artist lived in North Africa, an actor in America, but he was constantly on the road: filming, creative meetings and interviews were an integral part of his life.

Only two years after they met, Sean Connery decided to invite his beloved out on a date. It was supposed to take place in Marbella, Spain. Micheline did not appreciate Sean's impulse and was even offended: where did he get the idea that she would drop everything and rush to him ?! But soon a new letter came from him, in which the actor confessed his feelings. She had no more arguments against this meeting.

At first, they had a chance to see each other quite rarely, and once, while standing in line for check-in at the airport, Sean Connery suddenly saw Micheline's legs in the next line, where the check-in was for another flight. The actor recognized them and immediately went behind the dividing partition to see if he was mistaken. There she stood, his beloved.

In 1975, they became husband and wife, and for almost 45 years they have been practically inseparable. Sean considers his Micheline the best woman in the world and admits: he is still in love with her, invites his wife on dates and touchingly holds her hand.

They belonged to different cultures and even spoke different languages at first. She did not know English, and he did not know French, but nothing could prevent them from speaking the common language of feelings. The actor still admires his wife today, sincerely admires the pictures she writes, and considers her smarter and more talented than himself.

Sean Connery and his Micheline have been leading a very secluded life in their own villa in the Bahamas for many years and do not hide: they intend not to be apart until their last breath.

Films about James Bond began filming in 1962 and continue to this day. Many believe that the main goal of the film was to create the image of the modern British hero and to advertise the British lifestyle. Anyway, Bond paintings have always distinguished themselves by being at the forefront of fashion - in terms of things, people and ideas. This is why they have changed so much over the past sixty years or so.
