Photographer from Canada Elizabeth Gadd hardly more than twenty years, but her photographs have already won the hearts of millions of Internet users. Together with her friends, and part-time colleagues, Rob Woodcox and Whitney Justesen, Elizabeth went on an unforgettable trip to Iceland, from where she brought not only a lot of impressions, but also stunning photos.
Elizabeth Gadd was born in Vancouver, a city on the west coast of Canada. Childhood, spent surrounded by stunning nature, among forests, hills and mountains, greatly influenced the formation of the personality of the future photographer. And, of course, it was nature that became the main theme of her work and an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Lizzie became seriously interested in photography in 2007. Then, however, as now, its main theme was nature. Three years later, the hobby grew into something more - Elizabeth decided to step out of her comfort zone and do something really grandiose. For three hundred and sixty-five days, Gadd took self-portraits every day. This year helped Elizabeth find her own niche in creativity - she realized that she wanted to photograph models in the wild. Photos should show the peaceful coexistence of nature and humans, leaving viewers with a sense of inspired renewal.
“Before I first took a camera in my hands, I drew a lot, made sketches of animals. When my father once let me take his digital camera, the first thing I did was photograph all our pets. The next step was shooting outside the house - so birds, raccoons, squirrels and coyotes got into my lens. I loved walking with a camera - photography soon became my main hobby,”recalls Elizabeth.
Oddly enough, Gadd has no special education. “I am completely self-taught,” says the photographer. Everything that I can do today is the result of numerous experiments. I photographed for hours and then edited the pictures using special programs. The best workout for me was "Project 365" - it was he who contributed to my growth in photography."
Another talented photographer, Brazilian Sebastian Saldago, is also passionate about nature photography. Its stunning monochrome photocycle Genesis is not only a stunning sight, but also a kind of manifesto for the protection of the environment.
