The second film, The New Adventures of Bill and Ted, was released in 1991. In this part, everything revolves around robots that kill people and the afterlife adventures of the main characters. They did not shoot more films, but a mini-series, an animated series and even a musical appeared.

Keanu Reeves first spoke about the creation of the third film back in 2010. It took a year to write the script, where the main role was decided to take the songs of Ted and Bill, which can save the Universe. But they didn't start shooting the film. Keanu Reeves spoke about the film again in 20017. And then I opened the plot of the film a little. According to him, the main characters are entrusted with a responsible mission - to write a song that will help save the Universe from destruction, to make sure that time does not split into pieces. By the way, by this time a couple of heroes already have families and children.

The writers decided that the age of Ted and Bill in the new part should be average. In their opinion, in this case, the events will look funny and at the same time cute. For a long time it was not possible to start shooting the film due to lack of funding. The big film companies are reluctant to invest in the continuation of the old story; they consider the option of a complete restart more interesting.
