Claire and Ian Fischer went on a long journey with their children

How often families with small children postpone travel until later, expecting more independence of children or a more stable financial situation. It's a completely different story with Claire and Ian Fisher from the UK. Once, having buried a close family member and friend, they suddenly realized that life is short and there is simply no point in waiting for this "later". Thus began their long journey, which has no end in sight.

Claire is now 31 years old, her husband Ian is 28, they have two children - three-year-old Maddison and five-year-old son Callan. Life in Wales is good, but it's too crowded for them to live within the same country. Once realizing that a sedentary life was not for them - at least not in their native Wales - the Fisher family decided to radically change everything. “We still travel a lot with the whole family. If it works out, then we go somewhere three times a year. For example, we recently returned from Dubai,” says Claire. “We realized that we are happy only when we travel or when we plan our trips. we decided to go on such a trip so as not to even think about when we will be back."

Claire works as a business coach, Jan works in the media. Not that they were the richest people, but they had enough money for the first time traveling. So that later they did not have to be broke, the couple decided to sell all their belongings - from the car to the purse, everything, everything. "We have roughly planned our trip eight months in advance, and then we will return, visit our families, friends, and then we think to go again and continue our wanderings." Claire is very optimistic: "I would like to travel all over the world, so we didn't really plan on exactly when to come back. I think as soon as we find a place where we all like, we will move there."

In case their savings come to an end, the couple plans to find work at their place of residence. At one time, they invested in the purchase of a photo and video camera, so at the same time they post videos and photographs of their adventures on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. "I still work from home, so in principle I can earn money even while traveling. And if something comes out of our project with social networks, it will be great."

“We always wanted to be engaged not only in work, but also to help as volunteers, it will be especially useful for children - to learn from an early age how important it is to come to the rescue. we travel, we can afford volunteering too."

The couple do not want their children to just play the fool while traveling, so they study with them, following the online curriculum, and the children will already go to a regular school when they decide where to settle for a permanent life. In the meantime, the family plans to travel before Christmas, selling all their belongings at the same time, then return to the family for the holidays, stay for a while, and then hit the road again. "When we announced our intention to our families, well, I can't say they were happy," says Claire. "But most of them are still happy for us."

The Fischer family's closest travel plans are through Mallorca, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
