It has long been known about the addiction of women to men's shirts, it is no secret to anyone how fashionistas like to flaunt around the house in the clothes of their beloved. True, after parting with sentimental natures, things left "for memory" can deliver real suffering, because a T-shirt or T-shirt worn to holes is all that remains of a relationship. Photographer Carla Richmond and writer Hanne Steen recently presented a project called Lovers Shirts, in which you can see pictures of girls wearing the clothes of their “ex-boyfriends”.
Many girls assure that, putting on a thing that once belonged to a loved one, they not only plunge into memories anew, but also literally feel a person dear to their hearts. The authors of the photo cycle tried to capture the moment of reflection of the heroines, and, we must admit, they succeeded. The pictures turned out to be emotional and sincere. Karla and Hannah talked to each of the women before filming to find out as much as possible about the relationship they had with their beloved. Often the questions were provocative to evoke genuine emotion. The responses were recorded, they were published anonymously and represent a single stream of women's experiences.
Perhaps many of the fair sex will recognize themselves in this photo cycle. As you can see, women tend to keep any things - be it old T-shirts, ripped denim jackets, classic plaid shirts … Some of the heroines are trying to "cling to" clothes in the hope of keeping the memory of their loved one, while others, on the contrary, look calm as the pain of parting has already begun to subside. Of course, the T-shirt with the call “Don't Give Up” looks symbolic in this cycle. The main thing that unites all these pictures is love, which cannot be returned, but which continues to live in the heart as a bright memory.
