Fairy tale - this is, perhaps, the only good that in today's ultra-modern world has not lost its sincerity and warmth. What could be better than grandmother's stories and grandfather's tales told at night to beloved grandchildren? Contemporary artist Victor Nizovtsev invites you to plunge into the magical world of a fairy tale, his works attract both kids and adults, because they open the way for us to an amazing country called Childhood.
It is worth opening any book for children to see how many examples of skillful computer graphics are today and how few truly worthwhile drawings. But in the paintings written in traditional techniques, there is so much soul, warmth, sincerity … A real discovery can be the work of Viktor Nizovtsev, a 50-year-old native of Ulan-Ude, who lived for many years in Kotovsk, and then moved to the USA, where he lives and to this day. Viktor Nizovtsev has a young wife and little daughter, for whom he paints his pictures.
Victor received a professional art education: he graduated from the College of Arts. Repin in Kishinev, later studied at the University of Industrial Art in St. Petersburg. He left for America in 1997, at first he lived in Washington, actively participated in exhibitions, and later moved to Maryland.
Victor Nizovtsev has been painting for over 15 years and all this time he is in a creative search. His artistic manner is based on contrasting color combinations and attention to traditional symbolic images. At the same time, the master uses various cultural codes: there is also folklore of the Vyatichi, and the Ural tales of Bazhov, and examples of world art, and even echoes of the philosophy of the ancient Greeks. Everything is rethought, put together, and from this symbiosis an original fairy-tale world is born.
The wonderful works of Viktor Nizovtsev are a vivid example of modern painting for children. Absolutely different in style, but no less emotional illustrations are created by another contemporary artist - Rebecca Dothremer.

Non-childish fairy tales that are read to children: What secret meaning is hidden in them
Most parents are sure that there is nothing better than children's folk tales, which are a real storehouse of wisdom and unobtrusive moral teachings. However, the original versions of folk tales are not at all so fun and simple, and a normal parent would not read this to their children. The brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault “erased”, and in some places even “castrated” folk stories, thanks to which they became readable
