When it was time to go to school, her parents sent her to her grandmother in Moscow. From the age of 14, Belokhvostikova began acting in films, and already in the 10th grade she was admitted to VGIK for the course of Sergei Gerasimov. This stellar release was called the "course of 4 Natasha" - Belokhvostikova, Gvozdikova, Bondarchuk and Arinbasarova. When she was in her second year, her teacher offered her the main role in his film "By the Lake", which was written specifically for her. And after the release of her debut film, the actress received the USSR State Prize, becoming one of its youngest laureates.

Belokhvostikova first met Vladimir Naumov when she was only 13, and he was 37. Her father was then ambassador to Stockholm, where a Soviet delegation of filmmakers, headed by director Naumov, arrived. The second time they met after 7 years on the plane - both flew to the film festival in Belgrade. When Naumov returned from this trip, he gave an interview to the journalist of the Pravda newspaper, where he confessed his love to Belokhvostikova. And after a few months he proposed to her. Since then, they have not parted and have lived together for 45 years.

When their daughter Natalya was only 3 weeks old, Naumov began filming the film "The Legend of Til", where he shot his wife. Since then, she has repeatedly played in his films, becoming not only his faithful companion, but also a muse. The film "Tehran-43" became their joint finest hour, and Charles Aznavour's song "Eternal Love", written especially for this film, is the leitmotif of their entire life.

The hardest test for the actress was the loss of loved ones. When his father was 66 years old, he died of a stroke. At 50, her brother died for the same reason. Belokhvostikova has always been a very private person - she grew up in the family of an ambassador and from her youth she was used to controlling emotions and not showing them in public. No one at all knew about the most dear and intimate things for her. For a whole year, she hid the fact that she and Naumov became parents again, adopting a 3-year-old boy from an orphanage. The actress said that Cyril chose her himself. Once, when she and her husband visited an orphanage as part of the “Me and Family” festival, a boy approached them and asked them to give him a cross. Years later, he told Natalya that God had given her - after all, he asked him about this meeting every evening.
