Childhood without a mom
Her parents, the wonderful Soviet actress Zoya Fedorova and Captain Jackson Tate, met in 1945. The American held a serious post in the US military mission, and the actress had two Stalin awards and many roles in theater and cinema behind her shoulders.
This romance was passionate and dizzying, but who could have allowed it to end with a wedding? Zoya Fedorova was already carrying a child under her heart when she was hastily sent on tour, and her lover was suddenly expelled from the country, presenting trumped-up charges of espionage. Jackson tried in vain to contact his beloved woman, and then he was told that Zoe arranged her personal life and asks not to bother her anymore. The girl was clearly talented, and after graduating from school, she entered VGIK on the very first attempt. The bright beauty impressed the admissions committee with both external data and a clear acting talent. A capable girl was noticed already in her student years.
At the age of 18, she first appeared on the screens, immediately making her talk about herself. And after filming in the diploma short film "Two" by Mikhail Bogin, critics and ordinary viewers began to respond with delight about the actress. Victoria Fedorova was called the rising star of Soviet cinema and she was predicted to have a great future. However, they were not mistaken in their assumptions.
The young actress starred a lot, including in the lead roles. The audience also remembered the actress for her work in the films "Goodbye, Boys", "About Love", "Crime and Punishment", "Autumn Study". In life, Victoria Fedorova was an addicted and very temperamental nature. She was constantly in a state of love, but not every man could withstand the pressure of passion that the actress gave him. By the age of 27, she managed to survive three marriages, but they all ended in divorce. Her main goal was to meet with Jackson Tate, and a professor at the University of Connecticut, Irina Kirk, and who tracked down the father of the Soviet actress, helped with the call for Victoria in the United States.
Cold meeting
Jackson Tate met his daughter frankly cool. In his soul there was still resentment against Zoya, whose feelings turned out to be so fickle that, when she got married, she did not even bother to personally talk with the person she loved. The story with a long term of imprisonment seemed fantastic to him.
At that time, Victoria's father was already a retired rear admiral, and the appearance of an adult daughter surprised him extremely. But over time, he finally realized what really happened to his Russian lover, and why she never got in touch with him even after she was released. In addition, for several months of communication with Vika, he actually became imbued with paternal feelings for her.
Victoria, shortly before the end of the visa, married the pilot Frederick Richard Poey, a year later the son of the spouses Christopher was born. Zoya Fedorova visited her daughter in the United States and was even able to meet her American lover one day.
Life is not bad across the sea
Victoria's life might seem like a dream come true to many, but in fact, the girl had to go through many trials. Jackson Tate passed away in 1978 after a long illness, and three years later the actress's mother died.

The actress did not succeed in conquering Hollywood, she was given the roles of Russian women, and she played in low-budget and not very successful projects. But one day she allowed herself to come to the set with red eyes after a quarrel with her husband, for which she received a serious scolding from her superiors. And Victoria did not find anything better than just leaving the set, forever ruining her reputation.
She wrote the book "The Admiral's Daughter", in which she told the story of her birth, but the autobiography of the Russian actress had no success. Victoria's plans to make her own film remained in her dreams. But she found her real happiness in the person of fire brigade John Dwyer, with whom she lived until the end of her days.
In 2012, Victoria Fedorova died of a serious cancer.
Victoria was not even a year old when her mother was arrested on charges of espionage and sent to a pre-trial detention center in Lubyanka. Zoya Fedorova hoped in vain for an acquittal. That did not happen. The espionage charge remained in effect, and the woman was sentenced to 25 years in Lefortovo, and then in the Vladimir high security prison.
