On the Internet, you can often see stories of how someone found discarded kittens or puppies. So it happened with one farmer from Transbaikalia: once, next to his barn, he found completely tiny, still blind kittens. All of them were, as if on selection, of the same color, fluffy, but so small that the farmer decided that these were the most ordinary kittens, whose mother lambed next to a person's dwelling, and then for some reason left them. So the man took the cubs home.

Not knowing how to help the kittens (after all, sitting and feeding the kids from a pipette, as well as providing them with normal care - this takes a lot of time), the farmer turned to the Daursky Reserve. There, experts suggested that the farmer find an ordinary domestic cat that has recently had kittens, or maybe even that is now raising its offspring - and try to "persuade" the mother to accept new breadwinners. However, when the workers of the reserve saw exactly which kittens the man had found, they gasped.

It turned out that the found kittens are Pallas' cat cubs. This is a very rare and rather poorly studied type of feline. They are not tamed, and if at a small age the manula get along quite easily with a person, then as soon as they grow up, instincts take their toll and the maintenance of such animals in the house becomes unbearable. Nevertheless, the cost of these rare animals on the black market reaches several hundred thousand rubles: there are always enough people who want to have exotic things at home, and it is almost impossible to catch Pallas' cat in nature, let alone find kittens.

Theoretically, it would be possible to sell babies for decent money. However, this would hardly go to little manuls. This type of animal feels good only in the wild. Therefore, the farmer decided to transfer the expensive find to the reserve so that they would help the kittens grow up and then release them into the wild.

In the reserve, they found nursing cats for small Pallas' cats, and, fortunately, they adopted unusual cubs. The older the manul became, the more active they became. When they were old enough to live independently, the reserve workers released them, putting on radio collars on the animals. However, with the arrival of winter, young kittens faced difficulties that they were not ready to face. At some point, they even dropped their collars, and when people found them again, the kittens were pretty emaciated.

Manulov were again taken into the room, allowing them to spend their first winter, gradually adapting to wild conditions, and with the approach of spring, when the wild cats had already grown stronger and learned to hunt better, they were released again. After that, Pallas' cat adapted to the wild life much better and now they feel great, living in their natural environment.
