"Curly" from the group "Roots" since the foundation of the team has become one of the most recognizable and popular of its members. Pavel Artemiev grew up in a creative atmosphere - his mother was a writer, his stepfather was a famous pianist. Pavel wrote his first song at the age of 13. At one time the family lived in Italy, where he graduated from the conservatory, and also began a career as a model, taking part in several Vivienne Westwood shows.

The first popularity came to him thanks to his participation in the "Star Factory" in 2002. Together with other finalists of the project, Pavel Artemiev became one of the members of the group "Korni", the producer and author of most of the songs of which was Igor Matvienko. After that, Artemiev performed as the lead singer of the cover band "Rookie Crew", tried his hand as a DJ, and later created his own group, "Artemiev", performing lyrical rock. In its composition, Pavel performs today, being its producer, soloist and songwriter. In addition, he completed acting courses in Los Angeles and starred in several films and TV series in cameo roles. In 2021, the crime drama "Historian", where Pavel Artemiev played the main role, is to be released. In 2009, he began performing on the stage of the Praktika Theater, where he took part in several performances.

The 37-year-old artist has never been married. He himself explains this by the fact that he stopped being in love at the age of 19, and since then his feelings for someone have not been so serious as to build a long-term relationship. Artemiev admits that he never regretted his departure from the group "Roots", although he is grateful for the years spent together. With former colleagues, he now almost does not communicate.

Alexander Astashenok

Alexander Astashenok has been fond of music since childhood. At the music school, he mastered playing the button accordion, independently learned to play the piano and guitar. In addition, he studied spot and choreography. After graduating from a technical school in his native Orenburg, specializing in "accountant-economist", he did not associate life with this profession, but got a job on local television, where he led an author's program about cinema. In 1998 g. Astashenok created the Oreol rock group, which won prizes in several regional festivals and became quite popular in Orenburg. During the festival in Moscow, Igor Matvienko drew attention to the musician, and after 3 years he invited him to the "Star Factory".

Participation in the "Star Factory" and the group "Roots" has become fateful for the musician not only in his professional life, but also in his personal life. In 2002 Alexander Astashenok met Elena Vengrzhinovskaya, who was the concert director of the ensemble. Despite the fact that she was 13 years older, they began an affair. Under the terms of the contract, the artist could not advertise his personal life, but in 2004 the secret was still revealed - Alexander and Elena got married. A year later, the couple had a daughter, who was named Victoria - they say, in honor of the very song written by Astashenok and which became one of the most famous hits of "Roots". Despite rumors of a divorce, which often appeared in the press, the spouses still remain together.

In 2010, Alexander left the group "Roots" and in the same year completed his studies at the acting department of GITIS. Since then, he began acting in films and TV series, at the moment in the filmography of the 39-year-old actor there are already 20 works, among which the most notable roles were roles in the TV series "The Gift", "Closed School", "Dad in Law", "Bloody Lady "," Birch "and" Fortune Teller ".

Astashenok did not leave his musical career - in 2017 he resumed cooperation with Igor Matvienko as a solo artist and released several songs and videos.

Alexander Berdnikov

Alexander Berdnikov was born into a gypsy family in Ashgabat, when he was 5 years old, they moved to Minsk. Since childhood, he sang well, played the guitar, participated in vocal and dance competitions. At the age of 16, Berdnikov recorded a song with the Syabry group and went on a tour with them. After graduating from school, he moved to Moscow and entered the pop department of GITIS, which he graduated in 2002. Berdnikov learned about casting in the "Star Factory" from TV commercials. He reached the final of the project and became a member of the "Roots" group.

Alexander Berdnikov played several roles in the cinema, but never seriously thought about the acting profession. At the moment, his last film work is the role of Rosenrantz in Yuri Kara's film "Hamlet" in 2009. Music has always been in the foreground for him. Berdnikov is still a member of the Roots group, which, after the departure of Artemyev and Astashenka, included Dmitry Pakulichev.

In 2008, the musician married Olga Mazhartseva, a Rostovite from a gypsy family, they had three daughters and a son. In 2016, Berdnikov ran for the State Duma, but did not receive the required number of votes.

Alexey Kabanov

Alexey Kabanov was born and raised in Moscow into a family of physicists. In his youth, he gave his parents a lot of problems - he skipped lessons, started fights, was rude to teachers. He was credited with novels with a participant in the "Star Factory" Maria Alalykina, singer Sati Kazanova, winner of the "Beauty of Russia" competition Daria Konovalova. At the same time, Kabanov did not start a serious long-term relationship with anyone. The singer willingly communicated with fans and responded to their messages. One of them, as a result, became his wife. In 2012, Rozalia Konoyan wrote to him, they met, and the next year they got married. In 2014, the couple had a daughter, Alice.

The musician to this day performs with the renewed lineup of the "Roots" group. Of course, not a trace of the former popularity of the band remained. Most often, fans ask them to perform old hits.
