Then the young newlyweds went together to conquer the northern capital. Alexander first tried himself as a dubbing actor, and Marina got a job as a screenwriter. Alexander Demyanenko in family life was very reminiscent of the genius inventor Shurik, whom he played in the movies. He was not at all adapted to the hardships of life, so the energetic and purposeful Marina allowed him not to think about base things.

The popularity that fell on him in the mid-60s, Demyanenko was badly upset. He did not like attention to himself, hated being recognized on the streets. He was a very reserved person, and his beloved wife was fully able to appreciate this when, after almost twenty years of a very happy family life, he suddenly just took his things and went to another woman. It turned out that he had an affair for a long time. The Lenfilm dubbing assistant Lyudmila Nevolina received attention from the famous actor, and then one evening he appeared on her doorstep with a suitcase and with the words:.

Friends and acquaintances could not understand him, many stopped communicating with Demyanenko for many years, as they were very sorry for Marina. The woman could not find herself in life without a spouse. They did not have children, since, according to her, Alexander actually persuaded her several times to terminate the pregnancy. Experiencing severe depression, Marina talked with a house raven and soft toys given to her by her husband. She kept this memory of her first and only love until the end of her days.
