The filming of the seventh part of the Mission: Impossible franchise was once again in jeopardy. The film was supposed to be released in July 2021, and it was supposed to be filmed over three weeks in Venice, starting in February 2020, and then in Rome. However, the coronavirus pandemic and the state of emergency declared in connection with it in Italy made adjustments to the schedule. Now Tom Cruise and the entire film crew are locked up in Surrey, UK.

Filming in quarantine

For a whole year, the filming of the seventh part of the film "Mission Impossible" has not been completed. Last year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, filming had to be postponed for almost a year and a half. Later, in June 2020, Tom Cruise tried to avoid the quarantine measures and flew to the UK before they were announced to finish the film as soon as possible.

The actor limited his contacts as much as possible and took care of everyone involved in the filming, building an entire isolated village in Oxfordshire, where separate trailers were provided for all participants in the process and the maximum observance of all sanitary and hygienic standards. At the same time, Tom Cruise took all the costs of arranging an impromptu settlement on himself.

The actor himself takes the situation very seriously and last year he gave the entire film crew a grand scolding for non-compliance with the established rules that are aimed at preventing coronavirus. But neither his screams, nor the equipped site, it seems, could not protect the members of the film crew, and the continuation of work on the seventh part of the franchise was again under threat.

Now it was planned to conduct part of the filming in the UK, in Surrey, where a film crew of 60 people arrived.

The first to leave the "battlefield" was Tom Cruise himself, the leading actor in all parts. After arriving in the UK, the actor immediately went into isolation in order to withstand a two-week quarantine. In less than a week, the rest of the group was isolated.

The British edition of The Sun reported that all 60 people taking part in the filming of the picture go to self-isolation, and some risk going straight to the hospital, as 14 employees received positive coronavirus test results.

The saddest thing is that almost all of them were in a close contract with the actor. Several people from the infected are Tom Cruise's personal assistants, and among the infected there are also dancers, with whom the actor recently starred in one of the scenes.

The performer of the role of Ethan Hunt, an IMF agent, is in a state of impotent anger. After all, he at one time more than once warned his team about the need to limit their contacts, wear a mask, treat hands with an antiseptic, so as not to risk either his own health or the health and lives of others.

The filming schedules for the next film were already hopelessly violated, and now, in fact, no one can name the timing of their resumption. The premiere has already been postponed once. Before the pandemic, it was announced that Mission Impossible - 7 would be released on July 23, 2021, later it was postponed to November 19, 2021.

Will the filmmakers have to postpone the release of the film on the screens again, or will they still manage to get on schedule and quickly complete filming and editing after the recovery of all team members, so far remains a mystery.

Perhaps, such a violent reaction of Tom Cruise was also caused by the fact that in October 2021 he planned to shoot in space? After all, Jim Bridenstine, the head of NASA, announced the start of work on a project for filming a film in space, and the actor's candidacy has already been approved for the role of the main character.
