People who believe that children are afraid of many things, do not understand even more, shun, do not take it seriously, in fact, are completely unfamiliar with the peculiarities of the child's psyche. By default, kids love this world, and they are sure that it reciprocates them, therefore it would not even occur to them to run away at the sight of a giraffe, a monkey, a camel and even a tiger. The artist was convinced of this Robin Schwartzphotographing his little daughter Amelia for the project Amelia's world … Robin Schwartz is a nature photographer who spends a lot of time in nature, with animals, alternating between visits to zoos and the natural habitat of the animals, if possible. For the first time, little Amy went with her on such a trip, as an unborn baby. But this opportunity presented itself to her again when Robin decided to show her daughter what the job was. So a series of photographs was born, which marked the beginning of the Amelia's world project.
For ten years of her life, Amelia has seen, touched, talked with so many different animals that even the average adult could not dream of. She rode a camel, felt the trunk of an elephant, exchanged handshakes with various monkeys, chimpanzees and monkeys, hugged giraffes and zebras. Among the naturalistic photographs of Amelia, there are those that are able to shock the "right" parents: the baby tumbles with a tiger, sleeps in an embrace with large dogs, cats, martens … Even a beautiful, but dangerous and predatory serval cat is in close proximity to the child while he slumbers sweetly, relaxing and forgetting about everything. But Robin Schwartz calms everyone down, declaring with a smile that not a single living soul was harmed during the filming.
Whether little Amy will follow in her mother's footsteps, whether she will become a naturalist photographer who adores nature and animals, remains to be seen. But one thing is clear: she loves to be photographed, but what it means to be afraid, she does not know.
