Since ancient times, flowers have been considered the personification of not only spring, but also the brightest and purest on earth, namely, what is left of the divine paradise on it. Therefore, the flower world has long been glorified by poets - in poetry and by artists - in painting. It attracts modern painters with its refinement, richness of colors and variety of forms. A few words about the author

Artist Marina Zakharova was born in Kostroma in 1965. Like all talented children, she began to draw very early. She received her elementary art education at the art school named after V. I. Kupriyanov in his hometown. After graduating from secondary school, she entered the Yaroslavl Art School, from which she graduated as a certified artist in 1987. While still a student, the girl began an active exhibition activity. And ten years later, Marina became a Member of the Union of Artists of Russia.

In 1998, the artist was awarded the Medal of the President of the Russian Federation for creative achievements. For more than a decade Marina Zakharova has been a constant participant in domestic and foreign expositions in Germany, Poland, Greece, Montenegro. The artist's delightful still lifes are kept in museum and private collections in Russia and abroad.

Flowers simple witchcraft

Marina Zakharova is undoubtedly a talented contemporary master of floral still life. Although, the artist herself does not quite agree with this definition of the genre of her works. She says that she paints not just flowers, but their portraits:

By and large, the artist's paintings are a special world of plants and flowers. Art experts call the genre in which Marina works - synthetic, where elements of landscape and still life are closely intertwined. And the combination of these two genres with the interior on the same picture plane are artistic techniques that came to painting as early as the Renaissance. It was the mixing of genres that made it possible to see objects in their natural environment, as well as expand the boundaries of perception of the surrounding world.

On the canvases of Zakharova, one can almost always find a combination of the "big" and "small" world. On the one hand, there is a forest, a river, a field, a village house, and the vast expanse of heaven. On the other hand, the still life, composed and composed by the artist, is in the foreground.

In her delightful creations, both reality and fantasy come to life. They are illusory-realistic, theatrical and graceful, carefully spelled out, with meticulous attention to detail. In addition, Zakharova is able not only to subtly feel and convey the interconnection of objects, their material beauty, but also to harmoniously supplement with animated images.

In almost all of the artist's works, a detail that attracts the viewer's attention - a sparrow, a butterfly, a dragonfly, are carefully, detailed and sophisticated. This gives her still lifes a zest that makes her paintings recognizable.
