Nowadays, the fine arts, as never before, has an unlimited degree of freedom in the choice of themes, ideas, designs, and artistic means. Nevertheless, not many masters manage to surprise the viewer with their non-standard and harmonious combination of form and content. About one talented artist from Bryansk who managed to achieve this in full - our today's review. And how lively and interesting Sergey Kustarev he embodied his idea of imitation of volumetric embossing by means of oil painting - judge you, our readers.
Sergey Kustarev is an artist with great creative potential, constantly developing his skills. Working on himself, he is always in search of new horizons, which, of course, he finds and embodies in his canvases. He easily paints magnificent landscapes, makes classic portraits to order or with a free, extraordinary staging, turning an ordinary person into a fantastic image of a royal person or a warrior invented by him.
Thus, harmoniously mixing the palette of colors, imitating chasing, and also "seasoning" all this with talent and inspiration, the artist created a unique collection of works, the main role in which is assigned to imitation of volumetric texture under the metal and under the skin. It should be noted that such an extraordinary technique very quickly gained both domestic and foreign fans, and its author - good fame in many European countries.
The painting technique, combined with the embossed metal interior decoration, which gives a delightful decor to each work, is unique and unrepeatable in its execution.
The main theme of the artist's works is, first of all, the image of a woman. These are mostly original portraits, subtly and meticulously painted, the background of which is decorated like metal and leather. The artist's heroines are artistic, graceful and charming, mysterious, gentle and extravagant. Some of them resemble powerful and courageous Amazon warriors.
It should be noted that the artist in his works skillfully imitates several varieties of chased techniques: planar, relief, as well as patterned, made under, ornamental-punched chasing. Embossing is one of the oldest types of artistic metalworking, in which the finished product is "blackened" and polished, thus giving expressiveness to the drawing.
And Kustarev creates such an effect on his canvases by means of oil paint, prescribing with a thin brush every, even the smallest detail. This is really a laborious painstaking work of the artist that amazes the imagination of the audience. And of course it's worth it …
A few words about the master
