Yuri and Eleanor Nikolaev: A chance meeting that became fate and all-conquering love

The whole vast country loved the charming, smiling and witty Yuri Nikolaev. When the Morning Mail began, millions of viewers from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok froze at their screens. Letters from fans were brought to him in bags, and the guards of the television center warned the presenter about the impending siege of the girls at the exit. But Yuri Nikolaev made his choice in his youth. His faithful Lyalya was always with him. Only thanks to her, he took place, was able to rise after a crushing fall and survive, defeating a terrible disease.

Chance meeting

14-year-old Eleanor was walking from a music school with a violin and sheet music and suddenly saw him. Yuri Nikolaev, who has already turned 18, was next to her brother and instantly made an indelible impression on the schoolgirl. Young and handsome, with an incredibly charming smile, he seemed to her like a real prince. Yuri could not help but pay attention to his friend's sister, but Ronald stopped his friend: "She is still just a child!"

Later, they crossed paths several times in common companies, without trying to get closer. The news of Yuri's marriage upset Lyalya, and the news of the divorce was frankly delighted. And only in 1974 they met and realized that they could not escape their feelings.

In the summer, Yuri Nikolaev went on tour to Krasnodar, and she and her friends went to Gurzuf. And she ran away from there to her beloved, instructing her friends to send her parents a postcard she signed with views of Crimea every day. Mom found out about her daughter's deception only at her wedding on April 5, 1975. Before the registry office, Nikolaev told her: "I can not promise anything, except that you will never be bored!"

Silence is gold

Eleanor has never worked on television, but Yuri's colleagues call her a television person. She always helped her husband. I listened to his ideas, prepared for broadcasts with him. The cameramen sometimes did not start filming if Lyalya was not in the studio.

At first, the husband called his wife Iron Felix, then - Margaret Thatcher. Nikolaev was always emotional, he could offend his beloved Lyalya in the heat of the moment. Instead of a scandal, she simply fell silent for a long time. He sincerely asked for forgiveness, repented of his misdeeds, but she was adamant. She did not throw up scandals, did not insult him. I just could not say a word for several days. At the same time, she still ironed his shirts in the evenings, prepared delicious dinners. Then she just turned to her husband, as if nothing had happened.

When the husband became popular, they had a hard time again. Fans simply did not give a pass to the TV presenter. They waited for him at the exit of the television center, wrote letters, called and even came home. With things, that is, they were ready to immediately settle with their idol. Yuri had to conduct soul-saving conversations with young creatures about the value of family relationships. Lyalya repeatedly had to listen to streams of unpleasant words from especially active female fans of her husband.

In sorrow and in joy

The hardest time came when my husband became addicted to alcohol. In 1978, a real scandal erupted: Yuri Nikolaev read a TV program for 15 minutes in a very intoxicated state. His career seemed to be over.

But as a result, Nikolaev was left on television. Eleanor entered into a difficult and long struggle with her husband's illness. It was very difficult for her. They were turned away by many people whom they considered friends. But others appeared who were ready to support and help.

Eleanor never folded her arms. She believed that they could defeat alcoholism. They walked this path together. And today, Eleonora Aleksandrovna calls on everyone who has faced such a disaster to fight until complete recovery.

In the difficult 90s, Yuri Nikolaev took a huge loan to promote the "Morning Star". He had no luck with the directors. According to Eleanor, Yuri was losing weight, the directors were getting fat, and the money on the account was getting smaller. Then Lyalya began to conduct her husband's financial affairs with her own hand, checking every figure and every document.

Later they had a chance to face racketeering, when the spouses were threatened, the car was taken away, and real bandits came to the house. But the spouses only rallied in the face of new misfortune and were able to defend their lives and their property. They were not going to share what was earned by sweat and blood.

In health and in illness

Yuri Nikolaev could work non-stop for 36 hours in a row. When his wife asked him to slow down, he just brushed it off. Still, she insisted on a medical examination, which revealed aortic enlargement. The presenter underwent a complex operation, after which he almost immediately joined the work.

It seemed that the trouble had passed, but a new blow followed: Nikolaev has oncology. And again they did not bend over from this terrible diagnosis, but joined the struggle, which has been going on with varying success for 12 years. Yuri Nikolaev still leads an active lifestyle, tries to overcome the disease and believes that with God's help everything will work out for him.

Eleanor is always close to her husband. They are always together: in sorrow and in joy, in wealth and in poverty, in illness and in health.
