Relatively recently, information appeared on social networks about how a little girl found the mythical sword of King Arthur Excalibur in the lake. The happiness of the child knew no bounds, because dad told her a legend according to which the blade was thrown into this particular reservoir.
A month ago, 7-year-old Matilda Jones and her family went to Lake Dozmari Pool (Cornwall, UK). On vacation, the father told his daughter the legend about King Arthur and his magic sword Excalibur, which is supposedly in this reservoir.
When the girl went for a swim, she could not believe her eyes: a blade lay at the bottom of the lake. Matilda called her father to help her get the Excalibur. The 120 centimeters long sword, cleaned of dirt, just reached the top of the girl's head.
While the daughter was in euphoria, the father looked at the sword skeptically. The handle of the weapon is simple, the blade is rather thin, and the little girl would not have raised this sword if it were a real medieval heavy weapon. Most likely, the find was a filming props left in the lake about 30 years ago.
Despite the fact that the sword of King Arthur was never found, it is still often reckoned among the most famous swords that have become real artifacts.
