There are many ancient structures in the world, and scientists are still struggling to unravel the construction of which. But it turns out that in the state of Florida there is a complex of structures called "Coral Castle", built in the XX century, which also keeps unsolved secrets. It was built by mason Edward Leedskalnin without the use of any construction equipment. It is completely incomprehensible how he managed to cope with multi-ton boulders alone, he did not share this secret with anyone.

It so happened that Edward lived his life all alone, he had no women or friends. After he was unexpectedly abandoned by his beloved bride, Edward left Latvia and went first to Western Europe, then to Canada, interrupting odd jobs. Having saved some money, he bought a small plot of land in Florida, where he stayed to live. The warm climate here was just right for his poor health. Here he began to embody his plan - the construction of a castle from oolitic limestone, which became the meaning of his whole life. Edward was very secretive, unsociable, did not take anyone to his site, worked alone and, mainly, at night, after sunset.

The locals, of course, were very curious about what he was doing. And one night the boys climbed onto the roof with a night vision device to watch the neighbor. And they almost fell off the roof when they saw how "".

When one of his neighbors decided to build a multi-storey villa on his plot, Edward decided to buy another plot and move. But not just move, but move your structure in parts. For the move, he hired a large truck, and agreed with the driver that he would not be present when loading and unloading lime blocks. Edward loaded the blocks on his own and managed it in three hours.

When the re-construction of the transported castle was completed, Edward began to allow tourists to his site, who specially came to look at the amazing buildings. Edward proudly showed them the finished work, and tourists willingly paid money for it, which for Edward was not at all superfluous.

Many tourists, of course, were interested in the main question - how, without powerful lifting machines, alone, Edward could move, grind and install multi-ton boulders. Edward explained to them: "".

The huge blocks, of which the walls surrounding the courtyard are laid out, are stacked on top of each other without the use of cement, all of them, just like in the Egyptian pyramids, are perfectly matched in shape to each other. There is only one gate in the wall to enter the Castle.

The door of this gate rotates easily around the vertical axis, despite the fact that it weighs as much as 9 tons. But in order to set it in motion, it does not require much effort, even a child can open it - just a light touch of a finger is enough. As his dwelling, Edward used the second floor of the so-called Tower, which stands in the corner of the courtyard. Here, in the Tower, there were also his workshops, for which the entire first floor was allocated. No strangers were allowed to enter the Tower.

On the territory itself, there are many different unusual structures, also made of stone.

The highest of them is "Obelisk" (height over 12 meters, weight 28, 5 tons).

The territory is adorned with stone sculptures of Mars, Saturn (each weighing 18 tons) and the month (30 tons).

There is also a unique sundial that shows the time to the minute. They are also made of stone, it took Edward over two years to create them.

And it is all the more surprising that all these structures were made by Edward with the help of the simplest tools and devices, which, moreover, he himself made from parts from old cars found at a junkyard. But, of course, there was some special secret of the master.

In December 1951, Edward died suddenly without revealing his secret to anyone. More than half a century has passed since his death, but this mystery still remains unsolved. American engineers once conducted an experiment - they tried to move one of the unused blocks (weighing about 30 tons), using the most powerful bulldozer for this purpose, but nothing came of it. One of the engineers trying to solve the master's riddle, John Pasteuring, believes that Edward used block systems that he calculated and skillfully designed. Indeed, in some of the photographs, you can see Edward Lidskalinn lifting a boulder with a giant block.

In 1986, the gates had to be dismantled - they stopped opening. When they were disassembled using a powerful crane, it turned out that the door is supported by a metal rod and two old bearings. The rod is inserted into a through hole with a diameter of about 5 cm, almost perfectly flat, running along the entire height of the door (three meters). Today, this kind of work can only be done with a laser. How, then, did Edward do it? In addition, it is completely incomprehensible how he managed to accurately determine the center of gravity of this huge slab and perfectly balance the suspension, as a result of which the door opens so easily. the secrets of the Coral Castle, and the answer to the question - How did Edward Leedskalnin do all this? - they still do not.
