Famous fashion photographer Thorkil Goodnason (Torkil gudnason) sometimes "for the soul" is distracted from working with glamorous models. As part of his latest photo cycle Electric blossom he took a series of colorful shots of flowers - which for some reason still look utterly glossy.
Some critics believe that Thorkil Goodnason brilliantly manages to "blur the line between fashion and art." Indeed, his fashion photography is distinguished not only by the ability to beautifully "present" a model in a modern outfit, but also by brilliant work with color and lighting. The Danish artist introduces both into his work "routine" and, for example, into the cycle Electric blossom its basic principle: when staging and subsequent processing of a photograph, "cut off all unnecessary", leaving only the very beauty - that is, the very essence. The method is similar to the legendary sculptor, who believed that it is very simple to pile Venus from a block of marble - "you need to take a block and cut off everything that does not look like Venus."
The work of Torkil Gudnason is already quite familiar to the readers of Kulturologia.ru: earlier we talked about his extraordinary fashion photocycles, and, for example, about a comic project Bourgeois dog … In the "Electronic Blossom" cycle, Goodnason's signature techniques are in a sense brought to a logical limit: extremely unnatural lighting makes the photograph seem to be "inanimate", at the same time filling it with a new, unexpected beauty. “I photograph such flowers as they would be in the world of my imagination,” the photographer himself thinks artlessly.

The art of fashion photography. Maestro Torkil Gudnason
The readers of the Kulturologiya.rf website could be convinced that maestro Goodnason is really a maestro the last time we talked about bourgeois dogs, Mr. Torkil's photo project, in which he tried to recreate in the dog the image of its owner, no less bourgeois. And, as we learned from the above-mentioned material, Torkil Gudnason, first of all, is a fashion photographer, that is, he is much more accustomed to working with living people, beautiful and bright. Today - about it

Underwater photography that doesn't look like underwater photography: a photography project from Adeline Mai
We have written about underwater photography more than once, but the peculiarity of this series of photographs, created by 20-year-old girl-photographer Adeline Mai, is that the water in it does not look like water. Rather, they are people immersed in the ether, who appear before us in an extreme degree of purity and harmlessness
