Fashion photographer Paul Lange over the years of his career, he managed to work with Natalie Portman and Halle Berry - and now he switched to a little more unexpected, albeit no less charming objects. The main characters of Lange's new photo cycle are beautiful flowers, from daisies to orchids.

As a fashion photographer, Lange has been widely known for the last quarter of a century - he has collaborated with Vogue, Elle, Glamor magazines and successful photo shoots of celebrities of all kinds: from the movie star Natalie Portman to the controversial TV presenter Oprah Winfrey. Exactly eight years ago, Lange made a strong-willed decision to "retire" and focus on more personal photography.

Work on the cycle that Lange titled Big blooms, started in 2007. Flowers in photos from Big blooms are always at the peak of their beauty: they do not just open up, but seem to "explode", so the analogy with "Big Bang" - "Big Bang" - is quite appropriate.

Flowers as a symbol of natural beauty find the most diverse reflection in modern art: someone uses them in creative advertising, somebody - breaks and destroys in the name of art. Paul Lange treats the "characters" of his photographs as with real photo models: he carefully arranges lighting, selects catchy angles, strives to emphasize bright colors and expressive outlines. So the photocycle turned out to be quite glamorous, although it probably won't be published in Glamor magazine.
